I was wondering if anyone knew where I could get this blood I know this bloodline is popular in England. Anyone know of any websites with breeders who will export to the US.

    Thanks,
    Roy

no harm mate forget about importing the Psycho bloodline even the Psycho dog himself wouldt have been able to compete with a half decent pitbul .
there is a couple of videos of him floating around get your hands on one of them first he was nothing special just one out of a bunch of run off the mill staffords

I wasent going to bother to answer, but I am just fed up with the brittish self hatred that is displayed everytime any one asks about the gamebred Stafford bloodlines. If you have seen those videos and have the least knowledge about the game you should have noticed that Psycho was far from what you would call peak condition.

Psycho was only bred about 2 times! Out of those two breedings came a lot of really good dogs, who in their turn continued to produce good dogs! And down the line from Psycho there are plenty of dogs that went head to head with well bred Pit Bulls and gave them some ass whoopin´! And considering how inbred those dogs where it is a great achievement in it self that they where show quality at all!

Under other circumstances everything would have been different, lets say that Psycho would have been in the states. Then he would have been bred to various females and crossed in to various bloodlines and he would have had a lot more offspring. Under these circumstances there is not doubt in my mind he would have made it to the ROM list.

There are about a zillion gamebred Pit Bulls compared to just a handfull of gamebred staffords, and still I have personally seen US imports getting their ass wiped! Imagine in what state the blood lines would have been if people actually would have been devoted to them instead of just leaving them behind when something more fancy came up!

The guys over there went shopping at Macdonalds and took they easy way thinking they would gain success. But I know form first hand, by talking to some very reputable dogmen from your area that they regret that they jumped the APBT bandwaggon! They claim they dident gain all that much from doing so...

For those interested, follow the link to some good stories about Psycho.

Not really sure if you are more insulting to the English or the Americans. But it is interesting to see such conviction with it. I like a person willing to stand for what he believes. Even when I don't agree with it at all.

I take it as a complimant. Thank you. And if I where insulting to any one, it was those guys just sitting around bad mouthing something that doesent deserve getting shit thrown at it. And towards the americans I can not have been insutling in any way or form since I honoured their breeding skills.

Dont get me wrong here, I am not stating that the Ch Psycho blood line is the best in the world, either I am not claiming it to be able to compete with top apbt bloodlines today! There are only a handfull of pure Psycho dogs sitting in working home these days, and at the moment most of them are being crossed out and there is soon nothing left. But what I am saying is this- considering the situation and small population, the line has proven its worth and value more than once! And there is absolutely no reasson to disrespect these dogs- I have seen Pit Bulls with super pedigrees cur out way faster than most of the Psycho dogs I have seen. These dogs are game as hell- And I tought that was what we honoured in gamedogs when it all came down to it.

Well as with most things in life they have their era and then it is gone for good. Once it is gone that is it. and stupid laws hinder both breeds. The American Pit Bull Terrier and your Shaffordshire Terrier the same. The pedigree doesn't make the Bull dog that is for sure. for the most part the two mentioned breeds have long been separated by breeding. For most of my life those that raise one and the other don't even sit at the same table. I am not up on Staffordshires. Not actually into them either. But they do for who likes them and that suits me just fine. I wouldn't cross the two breeds period. As they have long been separated and there isn't any reason to change that at this point. Even though by genetics they may appear allot alike to some. But then again there are those that wouldn't know the difference between Boxers, American Bull Dogs, American Pit Bull Terriers, and Staffordshire Terriers. they tend to call them all pit bulls a generic term. I picked up a engine yesturday from a fellow and had a friend with me. They got to talking about Pit Bulls. 80 pounders 108 pounders. I started to say something but I felt that I couldn't talk with out being insulting or laughing at their total ignorace. The one should have known better as he has been around me for 12years now. I figured if he hadn't caught on by now that moment with the other fellow wasn't going to help either. He has a large I am not sure all and APBT. He calls it a Pit or Pit Bull. I just call it by its name because to me it is a dag gum mutt. He asked me once of he could stud it to one of my bitches. I told him no because it is not of standard, and that I didn't approve of its pedigree or lack there of. I would guess the dog to be 70 pounds. between a bull mastiff and APBT in size and weight. Probably the mixtrure too. But he is proud of that size thing. So they were carrying on about the things and such and my friend said that I raise them and the fellow got to asking me about my dogs and if they had that blue this or that in them. I said hell now, I don't breed bully dogs and that he wouldn't know my dogs at all. They are not of the calibur he wants or needs. He had five or six dogs runing about in the yard of his shop. total curs to the core. Not a scratch on them and no chains or kennels. I couldn't tell what kind of dogs they were but to him they were once again Pits. I asked what kind of dogs they were and that was his answer. So there I am with two stone cold idiots that were talking about getting some blue pits. I just told them to load my engine so I could go take a pill. I got a migrane headache. I just wanted to go home and look at some real dogs. Make matters worse they didn't do any thing with the engine. I will have to use it for a core or built it myself.

anybody mention anything about being curs , if the staffords had of been great they would have held their own ,there would have been no need to have dogs with EBT blood in them like Phsycho or in the case of Storm a full ebt stafford cross it took the dogs with the EBT in them to rise to the top thats not disrespect thats facts ,considering that the EBT was only bred by Hinks for one thing and that was the show ring and nothing else says a lot doesnt it
guys turned to the A.P.B.T because they done the biz and were from a long line of gamebreds who had ability too
What about Moonshine look at the treatment he got handed to him FFS

Ok, here we go again. Bullterrier. Psycho had about 1/16th of a Bullterrier in him. Stormer where 50% but he did not produce anything either. But when we are at it. How much Bullterrier did the first european SDJ GR CH have? Gr .Ch Duke? None as far as I know. How about the red strain dogs? None either as far as any one know. So the EBT was not the thing that made the dogs tick as you try to claim! Secondly, we are talking about game Bullterriers, used for Badgers! Dogs that are extinct today, but still where around when a small percentage ended up in Psycho´s pedigree. And as far as those guys where concerned, game dogs to game dogs! They dident give a shit about the rest as long as the dogs did their job.

The guys turned to Pit Bulls cause it was the easier to do than to
shape up what they had! And their region was too small to be able to do it. But when we are at the topic, in the 80´s the Irish had lots of Snooty dogs too- not any more. Why is that? Is that because Snooty dogs are shyte or is it because those guys are doing something new? To be honest with you, as far as I know not many blood lines are able to stay intact over a period of more than ten years in that area, due to the breeding principles these people have. They are not sentimental about nothing! In some scenarios that is great, in other situation it is not so great.

I dont really get how your story relates to the topic. But as you said your self, one things show, you do not talk from first hand experience! And I dont think you have such a great foundation to base your ideas about the game bred staffords on.

I did not talk about cross breeding these dogs to the american dogs, and I have never done so my self! But if anyone would see a gain in doing so I am all for it! It would not have been the first time it was done. And it has been done with success. Not a long time ago a very wellknown european crew tried to breed to a Psycho male I was feeding at the time. They wanted to cross it with some Eli blood. Those guys has seen more Staffords and Pit Bull than most of us will ever own. And if they tought the Staffs where so lousy they wouldent have been trying to get it done.

And the part about two breeds. Well that is up to each one of us how we think about it! But as I see it that is in one way AKC/KC show dog thinking! For the old timers it was all about game bred "bull and terriers", no more no less! If you would have sat J.P Colby and Joe Mallen at the same table and told them that they where feeding two different breeds, I am sure they would have looked at you like you lost it. I am pretty sure these guys dident see no difference. And as late as the 1950´s and 1960´s Irish dogs where imported to the states and bred to the "american pit bull terrier" by well known breeders.

I am sure every Staffordshire breeder would look at me as if I lost it. That is cool. I am not bashing the breed. It has been bred apart for a long time now and that is just it. I know about those Irish dogs too. We had a few ourselves. Damn right. However the Staffordshire and APBT were already established as two breeds before that time. AKC has more than one of that type of dog one closer than the other. I don't mess with AKC with this breed. I don't have any thing against them. Just am not into that kind of show crowd.

I have stuck by the stafford thats what I keep but the reality is it is no longer competative with the A.P.B.T. and never was once decent blood was imported in
There is a hell of a difference between badger trails dogs and gamebred dogs for the box , as to quoteing Joe Mallon if you had of quoted Amos Smith now that would have been a different story
Whether you me or anybody else likes it the stafford can very rarely if at all hold its own against the A.P.B.T.

I dident quote Mallen on nothing, I just said that it would be hard for anyone to explain to him and JP Colby that they had different breeds...

For the rest. fair enough, your opinion is based upon your own experience, and to a certain level your right! But if you stick your ear to the ground you might hear the buzz about the red strain dog that pretty rescently proved all your statements above totally wrong...

Why is that? Why was he there to begin with then? What good dog person in their right mind would allow that to happen?

Why is there always a reason????

I don't know crap about these Psyco dogs, but I have doubts raised in my mind every time I see an excuse made for the dogs performance.

Nothing personal. Just a pet peeve of mine.....

as I said very rarely ,and that depends on the level of opposition , red strain good mouths and ability but not good wind

For me once the stafford starts to hit around the 40 lbs mark and over it has problems with wind the lighter dogs between 30lbs and 35lbs are excellent stayers once bred bigger they are out of their optimun weight and size , so to compete with the A.P.B.T. about they have to be bigger costing them the prize .
I am sure the A.P.B.T. has an optimun as regards to weight and size but has no opposition bigger to find out except itself ..........I am sure someone here could say something as regards size and weight and performance concerning the A.P.B.T.

You know what, in the best of dream worlds all dogs would come to the shows in peak condition and picked up sportive as soon as they couldent do their thing any more! In the real world things are different sometimes.

Whos making excuses for Psycho? Why would I need to make excuses for a dog that was in the pit over 5 hours in his official shows, and made his owner money in 9 (Yes NINE) additional OTC´s.
