True, but if we go by that logic and train of thought, what about the numerous aces that were bred? There were many apbts that were aces and were never behind. In fact, there have been apbts that killed their opponent in their corner and were never once in danger throughout their career. Should they not have been bred since all they possessed were abilities to fight? Should they have been culled because they have amazing talent, yet their gameness remained unproven? Should they be deemed as curs and forgotten, instead of being remembered and given the title of "ace" as they are today? You realize that the apbt is called the "game dog" and not the "ace dog," so perhaps all these dogs that has been proclaimed aces are useless right?

The reason i putted it down like that.. cause in the end its just about 1 thing and that is Gameness.
All true dog man are after this gameness.
All bullykutta/Tosa people like to start pointless threads about how tosa's beat pits etc etc, While they dont have the sleightest idea of what Gameness is.

I sure aint gonna argue with the fact that those Big sumo wrestler dogs have beaten pits. only thing i will say..
If you match shit ageanst shit the outcome still is shit.

Till the day of today i dont kno ne breed that come as game as a APBT. (takking about top of both sides)

    Cheers

I know nothing much about the Tosa, but ace APBT's are dogs that have won matches at their own weight, any APBT would kill any breed of dog if it had the weight advantage that a Tosa would have -V- a APBT, even a small Tosa 80 to 100lbs, would be huge in size compared to a big APBT, big APBT would mean 50-60lbs,...Iam surprised that Tosa dont win all matches-V- APBTs, it says a lot that any APBT has beaten a Tosa, as I said I think that with just a 5lbs advantage a good APBT would kill a dog of any breed, not beat it but kill it...just my opinion ...R

    # for # nothing in the world can touch an apbt. IMO when tosas manage to beat apbts the win is tainted by the huge weight difference. Just because I weigh 200 lbs and can kick the baddest 100 lber out there's ass... Who cares it's pointless and doesn't prove that I'm badass or that he's a punk. it's truly pointless.

Yes you are right size does normally play a big part in the outcome. But the likes of Stratton lead people to believe that the apbt would win regardless of size difference when that simply isn't true.

Tosas are also matched according to weight against each other as well, so what is the difference? Just because those aces went against a dog their own size, who could very well be a cur, and won, that makes a difference? Also there have been apbts that had the weight advantage and still lost. Let's not forget Mayday v Cody. Cody had a 6 lb. weight advantage and still lost to Mayday, does that mean Cody was a bad dog? Does this mean Cody was a cur?

My intention was not about how other breeds can best an apbt. My intention was to simply state that while the apbt is perhaps the gamest animal ever walking this earth, to say that it is the only game breed in the world is a complete and utter fallacy. There are a few lesser game breeds out there, but within those game breeds sometimes pop up an exceptional specimen that possess more gameness than your average apbt. That is all, nothing more and nothing less.

I disagree with you on your statement. I'll agree that per ounce of gameness, generally speaking the apbt is the gamest of all breeds. However, I fully disagree with you that no dog can beat an apbt # for #. There have been matches involving the staffordshire bull terrer and apbts at the same weight where the staffordshire bull terrer bested the apbt. Also there have been matches between light weight tosas (generally, the light weight tosas are 20-22 inches withers and 65-100 lbs.) and large apbts at the same weights. The tosa also bested the apbt. Also here are some historical photos that disproves your statement.

In this photo shows a match between a shar pei and an apbt at the same weight (it is customary in Hong Kong to match dogs of the same weight, they are strict on this). The shar pei won this one. The rules are also a bit different, instead of Cajun, the dogs simply fight until picked up or killed.

only a fool would bet on any another breed vs apbt conditioned and at the same weight. I would say conservatively 80+% of the time you'd get fucked

Yes you are right the pitbull would easily win the majority of the fights with dogs there weight under catchweight. Lightweight tosas and catchweight pitbulls is another matter, the tosas seem to win more than lose in these instances. Like I said the bigger the bulldogs get then generally theirs a decrease in quality and gameness.
