In my opinion, the best book out right now on the subject of genetics is Ecological Developemental Biology: Intergrating Epigenetics, Medicine and Evolution by Gilbert and Epel. If you can't afford $49.95 (Paper), read the review in the jan-feb 2010 issue of American Scientist (excellent periodical esp. if you like book reviews from a number of different disciplines).

Would you please explain to me what the game is suppose to be about in your perfect little dogman world? Also since you highlighted the part where I said "everything is for sale" is this not true? All property is for sale. Sometimes the price is higher then others. I had 2 dog on my yard that we were offered $10,000 for and we turned them down. If they would of came with $20,000 I would of included shipping, lol!!!

Look at some of the breedings that Carver made.This man just could tell a breeding was going to click.He had a feeling, a gut instinct.He knew the blood behind the dog,and the dogs as well , but it still takes someone to put the breeding together.Carver was very good.

 

I had a oldtimer say to me once son you breed for gameness, and you go to the show to win. If you have a gamedog ,you have a chance.If you have a gamedog with ability you have a better chance and if you have all that and a mouth bet the farm.
