LOL that damn dog isn't trained very well . It won't even let lose or may be just may be it wasn't given the .right command . What's outstanding about this ?

The dog is very well trained. It won't let loose because it's not been given the command. Either they give a command or they remove the dog from the attack. The dog is doing what it's supposed to do. The handlers are another story.

What is outstanding is the way these dogs work. They are working dogs, very well trained.

The K-9s are supposed to be in the car, in a cage when not working. So, blame the handler, not the dog. These dogs are high strung, especially the Malinois. The german shepards are a little less high strung.

The K-9 bomb dogs are much less aggressive. They are mostly labradors. There are a few that are high strung but for the most part, they are calm.

Malinois is what our sheriff's department uses.

48 years ago I saw a fugitive criminal seized by a bouvier des flandres. His calves looked like biscuits with bites out. Was a widely used police and watch and defense dog in those years. Was once in a kennel where two of this breed had grabbed each other, they had bitten holes in each other's stifles you could put a hand in so big.

Don’t agree the guy couldn’t get the dog off. The dog had no out and it’s not uncommon for police dogs world over to have shit outs and not be able to switch off in public. There’s a huge difference from a well trained protection dog and bite sports dogs and then you have police dogs all different.

Nope the dog is supposed to keep engaged until he’s told to out and then usually guard/bark to keep control over the poor bastard on the floor.if your trying to choke your dog off then your out command and general level of training isn’t good enough.

Quickly complying suspect so not much to discuss in terms of the K9’s character under pressure…and likely a pricey settlement on this one, and re-training the dog (and handler) to standard.

What if the suspect wasn't compliant and bashing the K9’s head with free arms? I read about game dogs with enough situational awareness to re-grip in order to avert damage, gain mechanical advantage; others keep the same hold until their bushido death. I also know of protection trainers enamored with such forward, let go for nothing push grips. Pros and cons I suppose.

  16. Ive seen game dogs act well cooler then that police mutt.

Do you think a game dog would even act eratic if it was getting the aggresors attacks?

    Seen it man..

They are suppose to hold until they are given the release command .

Bullshit that dog wouldn't release so look again . That dog isn't trained very well . A good dog will release on command and that only takes a second . I will agree with the handler statement .

When you sleep, a watchdog at the door will not hurt and let you sleep well.
