Reminder BRE. This dog is for an EXPERIENCED handler. A trainer with strong character and confident. None of these characteristics describe you.
YOu may say you have had 3 or 300 of these dogs but you have zero understanding.
Ego, and arrogance with ignorance is the mark. It is very obvious to experienced handlers in this forum.
Its nothing personal against you, but a reality check.
For the sake of the dog please reconsider what you are doing. THis dog is not for everyone. Definitely not for you.
THis dog is not a tool for you to gain experience or character that you are missing.
Only attempt bulldogs when you already ready.
Failure to follow the advice of the more knowledgeable people here will only lead to a bad ending.
Especially your ignorance is very alarming.
Good luck. And please reconsider what u are doing

  2. This is a personal opinion so ignore it if you want to be an asshat. I'm confused as to why most of you assume that she got her pup from a game dog breeder. Just because let's just say half the population trains their pit bulls to be big scary dog fighting machines doesn't mean that the other half aren't specifically breeding that trait out. Yes pit bulls are more prone to dog aggression but if you read the ATTS evaluation you would see that my pit bull scored considerably better than my GSD and my chihuahua. I've raised, breed, and owned upwards of 100 bully breed dogs and out of all of them two were dog aggressive. The other ninety eight dogs loved other dogs. Owning a dog like a pit with a bad reputation should encourage you to be more adamant in socializing your dog to every situation not running scared. Take any pit bull that has been properly socialized and a golden retriever that has never seen another dog and watch which one starts a fight. I agree they are not dogs for everyone. But some of the advice you guys are giving is far more detrimental to the breed than they are helpful.

Bet you want to get into the field trial dogs and breed out retrieving, scent tracking, and go to ground abilities out of those respective breeds. Those pesky traits sure get in the way of showing and obedience --- who cares if that is what the bred was originally bred to do !!! There are American Staffordshire terriers, Stafforshire Bull Terriers, U.K.C. Pit Bull Terriers. They have already had all those "Bad" traits bred out of them and that will save you a ton of work. Leave the Game Bred Pit Bull Terriers alone - we like them the way they are ... Make you a deal --- don't screw w/ our dogs and we won't screw w/ yours. Leaves you plenty of dogs to get just the way you want them, and the few dogs left over can stay the way we want them !!!
