How many pigs you guys usually catch a year?? I am up to 205 this year

What would your overall average be for pig weight's?? My average is 41.7kg

How many dogs you use on 1 pig?? Usually use 2 dogs

Do you all start em in a pen?? Deffinately not

Do you all start on little pigs?? Straight on the boars when their ready

 

come on i see a lot of people said they hunt pigs want to know how you all work over there??:dogtongue:

 

A few loads of late...

 

Several people hunt hogs,we have a few around here.My cousin hunts them alot but I'm not sure he's ever counted them.I just sent a couple nice dogs to a guy that hunts hogs from Arkansas to Texas,so they should get lots of opportunity for some good hogs.I like your truck BTW,that's a nice bed setup you have on it.

i made that rack they hang on myself to safe foods standards got much the same licence as a butcher..

bout 1.5 to 2 days usually takes me to get those numbers..

the car is a 2007 model toyota landcruiser V8 diesel got all the flash gear like diff locks dvd player and gps and any other bullshit i hear about and can afford it gets it..

I live for the dogs and pigs pretty anti social till i get on the net hahaha...

We catch a few when the time allows. I eat them and feed them to the dogs all the time. Fresh free meat dont get any better than that.

 

I usually got a full freezer for the dogs the missus won't cook it..
At the moment selling all pigs i get for 90c a kg usually get close to a tonne for a weekend so 8 to 900 for a bit of extra cash is great helps keep the missus convinced that i should be hunting every spare chance...

 

Good job on the rack,I've always liked the way way those type racks look,and their alot more practical for the things I do than a regular pickup bed.I have an old Toyota I'd like to build one like that for.

That's not bad money,alot more fun than a extra job.

but i usually only use 1 dog and that is my female ... she dont work well with other dogs... although this winter i plan on taking her down on the Bayou with a group of people and ther hounds..... gonna seehow it works out .. only using one other catch dog .... she once went tracking rabbits with beagles when younger...i think as long as she is on a focused task it will be good

yeah it gets hot but the keep the dogs fit and i don't have much dramas just gotta know were the water is and what the dogs limits are i think...

Today was a top of 42 degrees celcius and it is only spring gonna be a real hot summer..

Gets that hot the pigs just lay there in the water during the day and hope you leave em alone still alot of water in the creeks at the moment so not that easy yet..
