Pedigreeeeeeee?

To me, the only dogs that come into play for a dog is his parents and 3 generation beyond only. 5, 6 and 7 generation into the pedigree the % is slow low it doesn't really play a part in the make up of the dog. A pedigree with the last 4 generations of FIRE is what to look for........

not really cause my yard consist of a long line of emmitt dog and 1i own gr.ch wacko that is 3x winner and i also have a strong line of bolio dog and mayday cross that generation is on fire from the past un tile now

 

true but some generation dont get strong until the future and the past was very weak

 

You are right to a point...but only to a point. A good foundation will help your family of dogs out...

Just like a building, or a plant, your dog needs a good solid foundation of dogs behind it, not only for perfomance, but for production. And knowing what is in those generations, can help you predict what types of dogs you MAY get out of your breeding program.

I agree completely...if your foundation ain't solid........what is there to build on?

This is so true as with anything if your foundation isn`t strong you can`t build anything that will last off of it...
