    Lol I got some I'm like he's 4, nah closer to five I think, scratch my head and start adding years and be like nah he's dam near seven lol. The older you get and the more dogs you have and have had it's gets harder to keep up with

    That is true. I have missed by four or more before. Especially in the 6 year old that acts like he is 2. Those fool me at times. Check the pedigree and he is 7. I'm like no way. I had a female not too long ago and when she was bred she was 8. I skipped a cycle and bred her again. She is like 9. She is healthy as all get out so I skip one and breed her again. The last litter was sort of hard on her and my buddy says that is still good for a dog over 12, close to 13. I was like no way. He says I still got the male off her first litter and he is 10. Did the pedigree check and sure enough.


    Which is a lesson in itself. Let the dog tell you what's going on vs. relying on piece of paper.

    I don't think pedigree infatuation is a bad thing of you looking at first few generations, but if you going back to the seventh and eighth your just fooling yourself.

    Its not the papers that make the dog its the dog that makes the papers.....you let the dogs tell you who to breed and NOT the papers.
