I know how it works they are worth alot,in time alone that is not paid for..never mind attachment to great dogs or special breeding that will not be found again because alot of hi performance dogs may be gone ..and one bad tire on a car makes a big difference to its performance

seems like the old USSR . animals are worth more than people . my second cousin was murdered . the guy got out on 35,000 bond . and little girl here under 5 was killed by a boyfriend of the mother . he got out on 35,000 bail to . dogs or drugs will get you more time than murder most of the time .

I hope Pat gets whats coming to him. But I would like to ask what is the price of a lifetime of work.If Pat was making what they said the dogs are worth, then they will owe him a lot of money. From what I read they violated his Constitution Rights at least the fourth amendment and several others.I wish Pat luck.

Call me stupid if you will but I don't believe the ASPCA or whatever will hand out a dime to him.
It would be like busting a marijuana grow-op and the grower demanding $$ for the equipment that was removed.

Growing pot is illegal (federally) in all 50. Breeding dogs is not. You're comparing apples to oranges.

No I'm referring back to how they charged him with dogfighting. If they truly believe he was fighting dogs, he's SOL depending on where he lives. :(

The charge was not dog fighting. It was an intent charge and not intent to fight dogs. The law they used was stretched to make it fit the prosecution of us. The forfeiture is a drug law as dog breeding is not forfeitable and having a large legal kennel is not a crime. It was a planned setup that started way before the raid. There was no plan to keep the dogs alive and it was all about a public relatiions coup by criminalizing a person for doing something totally legal. If breeding dogs is illegal, than every breeder, no matter what breed, is in danger. I heard yesterday that the lead cop is now a jail guard and her superior is a guard at the court house. They are union so they cant fire them, but that is a very big demotion from detective etc. Only the cops who cant pass the academy are guards. As far as a law suit, as long as we are in Pima County courts we have no chance of even being heard. They are all in it together and the whole thing is a well oiled scam to make money off forfeitures and donations and try to make us pay for their stupid choice of raiding people who were not breaking even one law. Even the judge who acquitted us allowed them to kill all the dogs. The forfeiture judge has the floor now and if you knew how easy it is to take a home with no crime being committed, I would say Az is right up there with Texas in the crooked cops department. Policing for Profit. All profit went to the police who conducted this whole fiasco. The reward was our homes. That is an incentive to steal, and the law be damned. My friend who lost her chihuahau kennel had all her dogs sold for half a million dollars and then they tried to charge her money for taking them. They were raided two weeks after us. I dont think there are any legal kennels in that town any more. The other peoples homes werent taken as they had no homes to take. If your home is mortgaged they cant take it as the banks have lawyers and enough money that the cops dont want to take them on..

This is the thing they prosecutors can charge with anything they want. But to be found guilty they have to prove it in a court of law.If they put the dogs down before your court date without being found guilty of a crime thats destroying evidence and violating your rights.

So what do you do after your rights have been violated?

I have commented on this previously. Its a thing with that county that was planned well ahead to make sure we had no recourse. My attny does not think we will get anywhere as long as they have jurisdiction, which they do. Unless I want to keep paying for their attnys fees. Due to the kind of charges I have found the reaction to me is "we dont deal with people like you" referring to the dog fighting aspect of this thing. Kind of like you are already too dirty to deal with. If it was anything else, we would probably already have a settlement. Law suits are expensive and have a lot of costs. Combined with the destruction of my reputation and the media blitz to ruin us, I dont think we have a chance in hell here. Its sort of like being called a perp. It never goes away, even if you did NOTHING to deserve it. Prosecutors will always say that innocent people are really guilty, no matter what a jury or judge decides. That is the way the game is played. The forfeiture is double jeoprady, yet the courts have ruled that it's not. We won the case but lost everything anyway. They are very poor losers and fairness has nothing to do with it. It is, again, policing for profit. Until more people have tasted this law there will never be a backlash and the cops and all of them will continue to take property from people who are innocent and not even charged with a crime.

This whole thing was just horrible, kill the mans dogs and then take his house. Hell Patrick was 'nt even convicted of a crime its messed up to take their home because the county is a sore looser. Honestly this shit is getting out of control ANIMALS now seem to have more rights than humans. Its just sad. Best of luck to Patrick.

  13. If you let animal control take the piss out of you, THEY WILL. Problem is, they are all jumping onto the bandwagon of negtive pitbull dog publicity, and as a result, bringing in a lot of charity funds to their pathetic organisations.

I had some issues with animal control, they visited me twice on some old son of a bitches malicious phonecalls. After the second visit, i had my lawyer write to animal control and WARN them they will be sued for compensation if they ever turn up again without foundation. Dont let these people away with anything. They are scum, plain and simple.

There will always be the die hards underground with tested working stock, they may try to exterminate the breed but will never get every last 1. I think they should put their time and money into removing species of animals that are not indiginous to certain regions and therefore save the indiginous species that are threatened. This way they would be using the money they collect to actually help animals like they claim they are doing...
