Panhandlers with dogs

I can't bring myself to judge these people I just can't I think a lot of the homeless who ended up in these situations my have some history of drug or alcohol addiction issues or mental disorders that prevent them from working and many of them need help or just refuse to get help and I am sure deep depression is a huge factor for people in these situations. Those of them who have animals probably have them for comfort. I have compassion for anyone who is in the situation you will always have people who take advantage of the system but some really need it. I hate seeing people homeless it breaks my heart and I will always help where I can because it's the right thing to do I don't question why they are there I just do what's right and let god deal with the rest.

 

I feel sorry for the people who truly have problems,just not for the ones who choose this lifestyle.Didn't mean to send the thread so far off topic,I'm out,lol

Around here during the summer theres alot of festivals, in which many from eastern europe travel around to collect bottles and sell them.
They've just shown in TV how some of the "skilled bottlecollecters" collect bottles worth of 170$ to 250$ - A DAY!

Given they find 250$ worth of bottles a day its 7.5k/a month and no taxes.... I'd say it's a descent salery for an unemployed "homeless"

 

I think I better go get some crutches. I have actually seen some really disfigured people in other countries. But the ones I see near me seem to rely on the dogs to get donations.

 

you need a place you can say you live with a phone and a car to get a job . unless someone will hire you near where you stay on the spot lot of people just doing it to make money because they don't won't to work . the true homeless and pandlehandler i think are different . here you can't get house for under 80,000 . and where i live well it's just to much money for a house 3 bed room if you got kids and some of these homeless do . pandlers and the true homeless you never know what they really are . i think if they look to clean then don't trust them . if they're dirty then maybe they are having a hard time . no phone no car to get there know work unless they hire you on the spot is how i see it .

There was just recently a woman on the news for faking being old/poor for money, she would make a good amount of $$ every day.
She dressed up as an old, poor lady with a cane and then get in a van, dress in her normal clothes, get out and go and buy some expensive shit lmfao

Put a dog, or even better, PUPPIES around you and you're looking at even more $$ (and free dog food)

My in law used to work at B of A as a teller years ago in Cleveland, OH. We had a conversation that started when I was getting on my wife about giving to homeless and panhandlers. To me it's just a hustle. He did say he did have a couple homeless regulars that made deposits every morning. One of them notably had over a $100k saved up. A few others tens of thousands. Not many of them but he did say homeless come to the bank and save money too.

 

Did they make the deposit with change? That would be pretty funny.

 

I lived near and spent much of my younger days in NYC and surrounding areas, I befriended several homeless people, actually quite a few VETS from any number of wars/conflicts(most of the dogs were for protection and early warning), none of these people were faking it or getting over on anyone, they had for one reason or other gotten out of touch with society and "THIS" as a whole and sort of checked/stepped out. I have seen this with my own eyes and talked to them, heard there stories. Well a few.
As I read the majority of comments on here there is so much misinformation-most have bought the spin that 99% of the homeless are making a better more dignified, rewarding living begging than the average working man. Where are the facts for this? Other than on a news "story" who on this board knows of an actual homeless person making 7k a month collecting trash and begging, maybe someone on here is a scrapper and can let us know how many cans a homeless person would have to collect each month for 7k?(cans are recycling for .30-.60 per pound, one can weighs 13.6grams 32 cans for 1 lb[say .50 cents] hmm ) some more internet spin BS-Now that they have you all angry at all these 1000's of people with no homes, and huge bank accounts, maybe you will graciously vote away some of their remaining freedoms for them, huh?
And what gave anyone the right to tell any other MF'er what they should or should not do? Dog men, witch hunt?
Same people probably voted for BSL, and the Patriot act.

 

I'm not really sure what % of panhandlers are homeless, poor, disabled, mentally ill, etc. Some are certainly scammers, but others are living day to day, barely surviving. My original post was about scammers who use dogs as a calculated manipulation of emotions. I don't think all of the panhandlers with dogs are scammers. But I do think that the number of panhandlers with dogs is getting more frequent because they are catching on that this is a way to get more money.

What will become of the dog? Must be a rugged dog to get shot in the head at close range and survive...

 

Some panhandlers could use help for sure,but most just don't want to help themselves.Just seen a thing on yahoo headlines today about a man in China,lost both hands and spent 8 years working on making his own hands so he could work on his farm.Just search 'man builds bionic hands" to see the the story. I'm ok for someone like this receiving help.If most panhandlers had half this mans balls they could get out of their situation.

 

So the lucky panhandler that was making the 7k per month. He would only need 14,000 pounds of cans, or a mere 448,000 cans to pull it off per month, that is like 1 million shopping carts full. I am pretty sure this would be impossible.

 

actually when i was working janitorial for the school district id make about 150$ after each football game!
