well i dont hunt hog none around here lol and in my state you cant use your dog to hunt just retrieve and point no catchin so im just guessin but i would imagine you would get your bay dogs away show your catch dog the hog let go probably not much different then facin em in the box and i dont think most dogs would look at a big ol hog any differently then another bulldawg and honestly havin sum cur dogs of different breeds around wouldnt probably be a distraction that whole single mindness the bulldawgs have once they rev up on somethin they generally only focus on one thing

  2. Yes Joe Painter bred the dog from homeward bound and he was a friend of mine but have lost contact.Anyways I never got an AB from him but he had some nice APBT's also.He had that Robo dog,Lowery kenard in his house years ago which was one of the last sons of Reno at the time but he is dead now.Anyways he swore they were some working fools and they were supposedly game but I am not sure of either.

The AB's today are Scott or Johnson lines with crosses of these two breeders. There was also one other breeder by the name of Bailey,Bailey did not breed as many litters as Scott or Johnson.Joe Painter obtain his dogs from Scott,Mike Margentina got his from Joe.Today's breeders mate two dogs and call them their own.Scott's dogs where bred to work while Johnson's where bred for type.IMO there may be a handfull of AB breeders that breed top class working catch dogs.If you can find some one that has Hines/Scott dogs and breeds them to work you will have a WORLD CLASS working/protection dog.Mr Hines bred working dogs that he got from Scott, and bred and used them for working him self.

American bulldogs can be all the dog you need for hog hunting if you get a good one

They were not bred specifically for combat but were game tested & had to be game. Back then a lot of people used LeClerc’ s ABA registry & that was one of the stipulations gameness

The dog in the movie was a Johnson bred dog out of Sure grip not a painter dog, there is no Painter or Margentina in Rattler

there were 2 homeward bound movies. 2 different dogs. I haven't seen in a long while but I do think one of them was a Painter / performance bred dog

Butch was the Bully in the Little Rascals and he had a black bulldog and him and Petey was fighting .It showed it for just a second or 2 from what I remember. Its the only time I ever saw the black bulldog owned by Butch the Bully.

Kershner had Mayfield dogs and American Bulldogs, he did a cpl crosses. The resulting dogs made their way into the American bulldog gene pool.

The little rascals from the 1930's. I was always told Petey was straight from Earl Tudors yard.

I’d have to look at the dog from the second movie, the pheno should be distinctive if it’s a Painter dog

The dog from the second Homeward bound movie looks like an outcross hybrid. Could be off Rattler then bred to a Kershner dog
