  1. @osk After thinking bout your situation and this post a Lil more and the fact that no one else has come forward with similar issues with dogs off the sire and Dam you are pinpointing,I suggest you check the DNA of the one you still have, the led maybe false

After everything mentioned concerning your issue if that's the way it went I wouldn't even want a replacement. I'd chalk it up and be rid of the breeder altogether.

sorry to hear that bro dealing with chico i know you paid too dam much to start off for a pup,& then to have this happen & then he not wanting to work anything out with you. what's funny is you never see that side of people before they get you $ it's only when it's time to make good on a bad deal.

@ Starstudent, I have received numerous pm's, which i agreed to keep my word and would keep what i was told to myself. But the problem and problems with in the states are huger than a lot of people think, and the problems are being exported to other countries now, because breeders with huge magnitudes of dogs dont actually know they have these problems. Its the smaller kennels that discover and have to deal with the problems. 1 dog dying on my yard is a big deal, and i will get to the root of the death, unless obviously its a chain break. The peds were correct, as i used to keep in contact with the littermates owners. I started to point out to my friend in NY, after seeing the pics of his one, that he should consider taking the dog for tests. He never did and i dont know if the brother is still alive, and as I was told all the others from the litter are all dead. 1 from a chain break the rest, who knows... My good friend who has studied genetics, told me that 4 of the litter should get the problem. but i believe the ped is legit. @ Dajuice, yes i have no desire to get another dog from him anymore, its just been too much to deal with, both emotionally and financially. @bbad, yes i spent my life savings to get those dogs here.

Wow... life savings spent with Chico & The Chosen Few is no good my friend. He is always bragging about how he is an active dogman outside of the states. Real bulldoggers know Chico peddles the dogs from Texas to support his actions in Brazil and South America. He also brags on a winning record which comes from being over 2lbs every confirmation show. LOL, Chico... It's time to stop looking for the blood that is peddled the most, and start serching for real Bulldogs. IMHO, it's a bad idea to go looking for quality stock, from any large puppy mill.

@TripleJ we have gone through extensive testing as well as paid R11 000.00 to operate and save the one female. I will be the 1st to admit my wrongs if dogs were dying from chain breaks, but the fact is a dog on my yard has never died from tick fever. I have never lost a puppy in my life to any disease before this. Babesia was what we tested for 1st. All 3 strains as well as repeated the tests 30 days later. The dogs that were imported were tested for Babesia Gibsoni as a regulation twice before they are allowed to enter SA. That is one of 11 my friend. All the other dogs are ok.

This is exactly why I am afraid to import a dog. Never know what you gonna get and who can be trusted

its a messed up story, but to be honest something just doesnt seem right. the blood behind main event is not something that is kept withing a community. those dogs behind main event are all over the place. youd think there would be more of this popping up arround, but why just with this one male? if this one male is spreading this out there there would be dogs behind it with these problems that gave it to main event. the whole story does sound fishy to me. i dont think open house are peddlers either. not many people have dogs off him either. just my 2 cents. every one gets fucked atleast one time in life lol, im glad it wasnt me.

  12. OSK, did you check for HOOK WORMS?

  13. Man thats sad but hopefully Chico didnt do that cause im a big fan of him and chosen few to the heart

OSK, man I'm really sorry to hear about your misfortune. 80K is a whole lot of money, money which I don't have to spend. It's always a risk for guys over here trusting people over there with all your money and dreams...and then people say stay away from the peddlers, but hell if you're way over here and all the REAL dogmen, with all the REAL dogs are so deep undercover that you can't get to them with a shovel, then I wonder how the hell are we supposed to know. I really feel for you and wish there was something I could do to make it better.
As a working man this type of crap scares the living daylight out of me to think some low-life could rob you of your entire Life...cos although its a shit load of money, its not JUST about the money.
I wish you all of the best.

Really sucks. The worst part is that this has become the norm and that most people will warn you almost as if this sort of thing goes hand in hand with importing a dog. A good friend of mine said as a community have to keep them honest and that kind of makes sense. I guess its a lot harder to do in the US than here in SA due to the sheer number of people so even if one group of people boycott someone that is known to be a cheat, it is impossible to spread the word to the countless numbers of other potential buyers sustaining his business so to speak. It's sad that the pitbull breed has become synonymous with unethical people., and then people wonder why the public outcry against game-dogs is so large ? People complain about videos like Off The Chain being released, well that kind of stuff is happening in these dogs and I wouldn't put it passed dogmen like that to sell someone genetically sick dogs. Not saying all dogmen are like that, but it is happening.

As some of you may know I myself was looking to import and to honest I have dealt with some very nice people that have been labelled peddlers by some on here. I'm happy with the kennel I am dealing with and I have the utmost respect for him and his dogs. OSK I have never met you but its a crying shame what has happened to you and as Saint said its quite scary to think that sort of thing could happen. 80K is a lot of money indeed. Its easy for anyone who has read this read to see that you clearly aren't in the wrong, best of luck with your dogs bro. Cheers
