    Nice read.

On one of the best things about these dogs is that there are no cookie cutter answers. There are a ton of ways to get from Point A to Point B.

I like some of the principles in the free keep but I also like the idea of some muscular endurance type work.

I am sure there are some things that can be done to damage the kidneys but if the dog is properly hydrated and the kidneys are healthy from the beginning they should be OK putting in work.

What's your opinion about the claim of not feeding red meat and greens?

I feed red meats. I use mostly cow cheek as it is a really fatty cut and it is relatively cheap.

I feed some greens but not a lot. There is no real nutritional value for the dog but it does keep the gut moving some.

If I am feeding greens I always use raw tripe at the same time. The tripe breaks down plant matter.

Does freezing kill the good bacteria in tripe??

It might, I am not sure. I would imagine some but not enough to make it a bad thing or a waste.
