Nigerino vs Sixbits

To the Eli fanciers and even to the ones whom have seen dogs from both lines prove themselves which line would you prefer and why?

 

I've always heard that the Nigerino was for the game and the six bits the crunch

 

i really like nigerino cause i seen a lot of dead game dogs come out this line.

 

I think Nigerino/SixBit cross would be a good one.

Any examples of this cross ?

I prefer the sixbits but I haven't really heard of it being suggested for its crunch. If anything its usually known for being game.

 

I personally have never seen a true 50 50 cross between these two lines when ever I see them together its usually in 1/4's so I wonder as well OP are there any true 50/50s

 

what makes you want to go the nigerino route? maverick/sibits is a good 50/50 or 75/25 cross. Done plenty of tomes.

 

just wondering....do you know what a dead game dog is?mabee im wrong and you do know,mabee you work at a dog cemetary, or your a taxadermist......anyway dead game dogs are just what the title says:eek: DEAD!!! I been around almost 30 years and seen less than a handfull of dgd so you can see y i got a laugh out of that statment. not bashin just had to comment!!! anyway thanks for the laugh!! p.s. Naustroms has it down pat Mav/sixbit is the way to go been done w much sucsess.

 

I like clemmons and eli blood in its different forms but always have been curious the differences in between the nigerino blood vs the six bits

 

I was just asking if anyone has seen the cross (nigerino x six bit) not looking to do it.
Just wondering if anybody has done it an if so how did it work ?

aries kennel has the best maverick blood imo. & i wouldn't go anywhere but vinc c for the6bits stuff out of that jakal dog of his. the red rover nigerino blood had it all but folks don't want to come off it. lots of that stuff around but you need to be very selective who you get it from.

 

I Have Several Nigerino Dogs I bought From Ed Faron A While back Grandsons to Lucifer they Were Game but nothing special Very Athletic in the Box but lacked mouth.. I Made Crosses with redboy/Jocko Dogs an got Some Very good Dogs <?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" /><o:p></o:p>

 

An yes i do agree the mav/6bit cross works very well from what I have seen

JEEP/NIGERINO(WILDSIDE'S)
&
ELI/SIX BITS(PRATT'S)

 

yes i too like the Pratts stuff

 

the maverick/nigerino cross has done very well also. i'd like to see some good crosses done between all three strains, mav/nig/6bits, with the right dogs i'm SURE it would make for some bulldogs.

 

mav/6bits/nig would make a interesting cross .

Its been done many times with (from what I understand) great results......
