Thanks Woody, I'll go scope it out. My guns are for personal protection and I haven't had issue 1 with it nor have I had any issue with Glock. So in my opinion they are both good for what I do and need them for.

I have put a lot of rounds through a xd 9mm and ive never had so much as a hiccup. Not my favorite gun but i dont havent had problems. Some people prefer that gun over the glock or other polymer guns because of the safety on the grip for ccw. But yeah woody is right about m4carbine.net they know their shit.

as for that safety Cheese, i was taught at a very young age that the only safety that really matters is the one between your ears.

Whats the point of a 4.10 handgun? Cant you use snake shot in any pistol? Or is it not for snakes?

itll shoot 2 1/2" birdshot, buckshot, and slugs. 5 rounds of .410 in the face will definitely change a mans tune. LOL...and suprisingly it isnt too bad recoiling. it also shoots .45 LC shells

Good shit. I never really heard of any one using one as sd gun but i never looked into them either. You own any other taurus revolvers Wood? Ive heard both good and bad and was wondering how you like them.

no Cheese i usually steer clear of their products. tear one apart and check out all the rough tool marks inside. their revolvers are FAR more reliable than their autos tho. they are getting better every year, and i hope someday theyll join the upper class of manufacturers. it never hurts to have more competition out there for the other companies. that tends to drive prices down, and we will benefit from that.

I enjoy my Taurus. My 1 complain is that the site on the end of my barrel is rolled slightly to the left. Its very slight and doesn't affect anything. I enjoy shooting 2-1/2 slugs through mine. Haven't found much good for the bird shot, even against snakes.

Oh and thanks Woody for that link to m4carbine.net!!

When Taurus acquired all of the Beretta 92 tooling, patents, etc in Brazil their Model PT92 has been considered the creme de la creme of full-size mid-caliber semi-autos. They have the PT92 and its variants down pat. As far as their revolvers go though. No comparison to S&W. But what revolver does compare. I have a S&W 27-2 in 357 mag. Pinned and recessed. The bluing and the smooth double action and crisp single action are incomparable. Taurus' semi-autos are very good. Better than S&W semi-autos and more affordable. But for good revolvers, who can beat a good S&W besides an overpriced Colt Python. Way overpriced.

I don't use taurus products at all. Some of their guns are shit, i've owned a few revolvers and the worst gun i ever owned was their version of 1911. A lot of people get real good guns from them, some get shit. I guess its the luck of the draw, but i rather get something more reliable.

I got a Taurus pt111 millennium pro in the 9mm and like it a lot! never had any problems with it, and the accuracy is good for a cheaper gun! I don't like that I cant find any grip extensions for it, my pinky finger hangs on the butt just enough to irritate me! But I actually like Guns made by Taurus, I'm lookin into the new 380 TCP I think its got a good feel and has some features I like more than the Ruger LCP or Keltec 380's

you must be kidding, right? law enforcement agencies adopt the best gun at the cheapest price, so please tell me why NO STATE PATROL AGENCY in the entire US is carrying Taurus. or is it that they cost more that the new S&W M&P line of autos? ive shot dozens of Taurus autos, and there wasnt one id strap on my hip to carry. i take my choice for concealed carry very seriously considering if i ever have to pull it, it better go bang. have you ever considered the reason why Beretta sold all the tooling for those guns to the Brazilians? wore out equipment was one of the major reasons, and that comes straight from the mouth of a Beretta USA executive.

I only have experience with the Taurus PT92. Mines an excellent firearm. On the equal of the Beretta 92 which I have also but the Taurus has better sights in my opinion and the Beretta has a more durable finish. I've owned a model 39, 59, and 459 S&W autos and think the Taurus is a much more accurate piece for me anyway. Maybe cause I have large hands.
