got the realoading setup and alotta supplies, ammo stockpiled, and a 45/70 the 45/70 isnt all that usefull here in iowa tho OT, my 30/06 will do anything itll do, and better

 

I'd like to have a good .45/70 but I agree with Woody.I can bring in truckloads of meat and never use anything but my old 30.06.Now if in grizzly country I rather have 45-70,but where I hunt here in southern Missouri and north central Arkansas the biggest game we have are hogs,black bear and they have an elk drawing every year,but I'm sure I'll never win that So,a 30.06 can pretty much cover the practical side,but sometimes I get a gun just because it'd be nice to have it.

What else do you have because there is a good chance that it can be brought here. Most guns are legal to own here you just have to know ways of making it legal. Any Californian's are free to hit me up with questions.

You really need to look into it first because if it isnt configured right its a felony. Going to Reno would be a waste of your time. Find a gunstore in your area that carries them.

It's legal in Cali LWG. Sold only with 5 or 10 round mags. You can order some 30 rounders when you move out of Cali. Check your gun stores. Used for around 250 and brand new for bout 375 can't be beat for a reliable AK platform built by IZHMASH in Russia. Chrome lined barrel contributes to accuracy unheard of and typical AK durable action.

 

Yup unless its a saiga ak then it needs the mag lock but the saiga without the pistol grip is good to go. Also if you had the 30rd mags before the ban your good to use them with your saiga if is the non converted rifles.

OK gun fanciers, help me out. The only weapons I really was exposed to were the 9mm & the M-16. I'm looking for a hand gun I can easily put in a pocket but still had knockdown power & the ability to reach out & touch a mutha******. But it still has to be easy enough for me (a female with small hands) to handle & have an easy trigger pull b/c if it has a hard trigger pull I tend to jerk the trigger. I had a Beretta .22 for a few mos & it was a POS. Traded it in on a hunting rifle.

Any input on what kind of hand gun would be a nice fit for me?

Any advice is appreciated.

 

The pistol grip makes it an assualt weapon in ca so i would be careful with what you do. Shoot someone with an illegal configured gun and cochran couldnt help you....

 

I would go to a gun range and rent every hand gun that falls into your idea of what would work. 9mm or better is my preference but 380's and 38's conceal nice. No one can tell you over the computer what gun would best fit you. Its different for every person.

cant go wrong with a little .38 snub for the purse.
or if you can find one of them "old" smaller ones i believe it was called a bulldog, not sure the caliber but it was shaped like the 38 snub but smaller.
other than that, id take woodys idea and do something like a little derringer, good little girls gun! lol
