the first longgun i ever owned was an Ithaca 22. mag single shot rifle. it looked just like the rifles in most the cowboy movies. i got it and started shooting when i was 5, and had it until some fucking puke decided to break into my duplex and steal it. i never did find it, but i made a couple suspects cry when i went lookin. meth is an issue around here, so i started with the dealers and a S&W model 66 .357 mag. needless to say they didnt like to see me walk in with a flashy stainless revolver and an attitude. my first pistol was a Ruger Mark I 22 semi-automatic given to me by my father when i was 6. i f*cked up and traded it for a shotgun to deer hunt at age 12. anyway, dount count the .38 out, its one hell of a round loaded with proper bullets driven at high velocity(+P)

Try using a dremel and a buffing wheel with some compound on the top of the hammer and the underside of the bolt buff it to a mirror shine, also the hammer pushes up on the bolt causing friction in the grooves that the bolt carrier rides in, thats where the graphite lube come in, Its slicker than any oil or CLP that I've ever used, but a little messy, I used to be able to get the action to stick if I cycled it real slow, but now it wont stick at all no matter how slow I release the charging handle, Another good way is to clean it real good ,removing all oil and cycling it about a thousand times DRY, then lube it up the action should feel better when doing that!

Not trying to jack the thread but one gun I sold some time ago that I wish I never did. A Beretta model 82 in 32acp. An extremely sweet shooting piece that shot 1 to 1.5 inches at 50 yards and could one hole'em at 25 yards from a solid rest. And an extremely accurate piece from Weaver stance as well. Now I can't find one in good condition for under 600-800 price range. An excellent lil gun that I wish I had kept. My wife would have loved it. I was single, young, and dumb at the time.

I had a russian AK that i got rid of. It was old as hell and still ran like a champ but its semi and i figure its just as good as an SKS which there are no shortages of. U could grab an SKS cheap as dirt. I just moved to california though and the gun laws suck privates. so, all i got is a 1911 with me here. all my other stuff is back home in detroit.

i understand man, if i only had all the ones ive let go my collection would be UNREAL! lesson learned, never sell anything made by Beretta. theyre one of the greatest, the oldest gun manufacturer out there(like 500 years). my 92 is my desk drawer pistol. i love that thing

A quick question for the shotgun lovers of the board. Mossberg 500 or Remington 870??? If limited to either of these 2 scatter guns. I've owned both and prefer the slickness of the Remington's action. Both strip down easily enough. What does the board say???

I prefer an SKS over a Semi auto AK. It's the same ammo, so what it comes down to for me is accuracy and recoil. The SK is better in my experiences as a rifle than a Semi auto AK. Now if you plan on packin a drum or 30 round mag into your SK and trying to turn it into an AK, you might as well go with the AK cuz the SK isnt built for that much rapid fire. So im just assumin that if u got a semi auto, u plan on usin it as a rifle in which case u probably be better with a gun that was made to be a rifle. thats y i like the SK. but some ppl prefer the looks and just the over all feeling of it being an AK and being durable and can shoot with sand mud and flames comin out the barrel lol

REMINGTON, had both, and the Remington is a far more durable shotgun. parts are far more plentiful, their customer service is TOP NOTCH, and the Mossberg 590 only won the government contract due to fact that they could offer them at a lower price. LE carry the Remington Police model the majority of the time for a reason. ive punished both, guess which one won?

have you ever seen a SKS go into "slam fire" because they wear faster? i have seen them do it on multiple occasions, and will never own one
