    Tank1,

I am sorry to hear this. I would just have the bitch taken to the vet & the litter aborted. She does not have to be spayed to have this done.

If you allow her to have the litter & want to sell them intact, you will have to DNA the litter. It will be $40 for each parent (in this case 3) & then $40 for each pup. So needless to say, allowing her to have them & DNA'ing the whole litter (which is what wil be needed) will cost you in the hundreds of dollars.

Or you could let her have them, find a clinic in your area that does juvenile
spayed & neuters, have them all fixed & place them.

Furthermore, never, EVER keep a female in a kennel or chained while in season. Either she will get to something or something will get to her. As one poster previously mentioned, keep her in an off the ground pen. I myself don't even use that. Mine stay in the house for the duration of their cycles.

Whatever your decision, good luck & be blessed.

ok well im against this hole abortion thing..so i say let'er have'em...
then dna profile them and if they come out with the planned breeding being the stud do whatever it was you were planning on doing with them...if they turn out to be Mr. Blue's baby's then you could either sell them with a contract that they must be spayed/neutered or just sell the mofo's as bullies;)

EDIT: Just wanted to add, I'm sure some cold-hearted person will advise you to let her have them then kill the pups as soon as they are born. I wouldn't do this myself as it isn't good for the mental health of the bitch & you may have to end up stripping the unused milk she produced. Plus, it's just plain cruel.

And just as an FYI, I don't know who owned the stud you bred her to, but you do NOT breed studs on back to back days. Male dogs are not like male humans. Once bred a stud dog needs a rest period to replenish their sperm count. If bred before the sperm count has adequately been replenished, the male will preform the sex act & he will ejaculate, but the ejaculate will be devoid of any sperm cells. Most stud handlers wait at LEAST 24 hours between breedings (i.e. breed, wait a day & breed again) to allow the male to replenish himself, but vets recommend a rest of a 48 to 72 hours for optimum replenishment (i.e. breed once, wait 2 breed then again or breed once, wait three days & breed again). But breeding every day is a waste of time & effort & even the most elementary stud handler should know this.

    Hope this helps.

    Blessings ...

Only if chosen. I do not promote myself as thus. I always try to help in any way I can. IMO the breed needs more people willing to help so that others do not have to learn hard lessons at both their detriment & the detriment of the breed.

    JMHO.

Thanks Michelle! I have learned a lot from you as well. ;)

Behavin, some folks can do this. But I can't. I just don't have it in me to let the bitch go through the difficulty of pregnancy & whelping only to drown her pups or wring their necks as they're born. It takes one messed up mofo to do that in my book. But if you can do it, more power to you. Maybe you can get a job as the local shelter killing puppies & kittens. If you have the "heart" (using the term loosely here) for it, you can use that to your advantage & make a career out of it! After all, that is an unfortunate job that someone has to do it right? :(

    Blessings ...

in case you havent been keeping score-Tank1 is in dire need of someone to lead him by the hand. the fact that he is willing to heed the advice from someone is leaps and bounds greater than i ever thought possible...hopefully he learns something

That is one thing I will say about Tank1. He is more than willing to learn, absorb information, seek advice & seems willing to take any help given to him. That's why I try not to bust anyone's chops when they coming looking for help, even if their question or situation seems "stupid" to those experienced in the breed. We all had to start out somewhere & making fun of someone or remaining silent & letting someone flounder on their own doesn't help them OR the breed. Now if you offer advice & they DON'T take it, that is a different thing. But that does not appear to be the case here.

    JMHO.

well all i can say to you ABK, is you don't really know what i might feel or how cold-hearted i really am. maybe you just don't understand how difficult it may be for someone to do something they don't like, but know it is for the best sometimes.
don't insult me by presuming i (drown) or (wring) the necks of new born pups.:(

however, what i do find cuel is the thousand's of unwanted pups/dogs that started out thinking life is just great, only to have it ended by ending up in a shelter, then culled anyway. not to mention the ones left on the streets or back ally's to fend for them selves.

nature is cruel, or so they say??? nature does what nature has to do to keep things inline.

maybe this should be thought about......... what are those pups going to turn out like?
don't we always ascertain how the parents of a said breeding are before we breed. don't we make it our common knowledge, what the past generations of those parents are like?

so.....how is this neighbour's dog bred ? what are were his parents like.
ill tell you, i wouldn't trust the word of an owner that lets his dog get out and hump another mans dog. they sound real responsible, don't they:eek:

i personally think there is much, much more to think about here, rather than just saving a few pups, don't you, seriously.

Wow, theres alot going on here. Instead of insulting you with everything you did wrong, I will just say "whatever you do after this DONT BREED!" Or spend the time and money and work EDUCATE yourself.

    Oh ye, big accident lol.

We all know if we had a bitch in heat that shit would be locked up tighter than anything, wouldnt be a snowballs chance in hell of a blue getting close.

Just my opinion, I could be wrong but I doubt it

  18. ABK

    ABK Rest In Peace

Behavin': Aren't these your own words?

That right there says it all. No one has to "insult" you. You admit it.

KBK: I would like to say I know Tank1 fairly well. From what I know of him, his bitch probably wasn't secured adequately & it probably was an accident.

That being said, I stand my my original suggestion - abort the litter.

    Blessings to all ...

Another option, you could also let her have them and cull all but 2 pups to let her raise. Then it shouldn't affect her psyche and they would take care of the milk. Don't cull all but 1 because the pups need each other to develop properly. Then you could keep or find good homes for them.
