    howdy,
I have been an advocate and owner of the apbt for the last 20 years of my life. I have owned shelter pit mutts aswell as papered game bred hounds. I have been reading threads on this website for the last year or so and finally decided to join. I have joined to learn as much as possible about the history of the breed and to contribute what knowledge I do have. I find myself disgusted with the current state that my favorite breed is in. From bully mutts, paper hanging, adba letting dogs with amstaff blood register as apbt, bsl, unscrupulous breeders, poor ownership, denial of history (pibble mommies), so on and so forth. It all disgusts me. I believe that the American pit bull terrier was to be bred as a game dog and it seems like nowadays theirs a lot of garbage polluting the gene pool. I tend to love dogs like redboy jocko, cottingham, Eli , jeep, tab, boyles, alligator, nigerino, ofrn and I kno I might get crap for this but I'm a sucker for working Colby hounds even though they're a shadow of what they once were. I'm not a fan of razors edge, Larsan, or any other show lines / bully mutts. I love this breed with all of my heart and hate the direction the breed is going in. I feel like it is my duty as a lover of the breed to help preserve the apbt in its original form. I want to successfully breed good game bred hounds to preserve their legacy although I must admit that I have much to learn. I find the genetic aspect of breeding these dogs very fascinating. I look forward to contributing what I can and learning as much as possible and meeting sum good like minded folk along the wAy.
