I personally like a 45 to 60 lb pit dog and I like 80 to 110 lb American Bulldog. when hunting hogs American Bulldogs usually do better with other dogs around

  4. Thanks for replying.I have seen video's of American bulldogs and dogo Argentinians and they are very impressive. But for me the video's I have seen with pit dogs doing this task are way more spectacular to watch.I don't no what it is, I think its just the shear intestacy of them when they hit that hog!puts tingles right through me,..I'd love to live the way u guys live over there, your very lucky to be from that great country:)...

You are right Soze when it came to the pit class everybody was watching intensely. American Bulldog class was exciting but nothing like the pit class. You are more than welcome to come over and become a citizen of the United States Soze.Yes and we do have a lot of freedom over here.

Soze in the open class I have seen Cane Corsos dog and Argentina Dogo dog too. Nothing as intent as a pitbull in hog catching work.

HOG Rodeos I have been to use European Hogs not our domestic hogs here in the U.S.A. and yes they have tusks and it was optional if you wanted to put a cut vest on your dog or not and we did not put a vest on our dogs.

  9. Was their ever any particular blood lines you liked(pitbulls)at that type of work?and I totally agree with you, from the videos I have seen nothing is no were near as intense as one.every time I watch one I think to my self, these dogs are surely the real old baiting dogs....

  11. I seen video of this big red dog .it wacks one.but the hog is just as quick.an when you watch it closely you can tell the dog did not expect it.the dog stayed ,an within in a couple of second's the hog sang.It put shivers though me.u could tell it was a real nasty bore and it's tusks looked terrible, I think it was a Russian bore, not that big but terribly fast.what do you think is the nastyest species of wild bore is??

European boars and Russian boars are the same they are extremely nasty and very athletic. Those boars are the same that we used in the hog rodeos here in the u.s.a.

Absolutely. Saw some in action and I was rather impressed with the grit and gameness.

Though Badgers are rare in these parts..they are not common...so..that said..
I have only seen mainly footage..
And they did their job quick..and without hesitation. ..what more do you need?

  15. Very, very strong characteristic's in those eli types.I have never seen (in the flesh)a pure eli dog.but I have seen dogs that have got a lot of old carver stuff in them.some of this carver stuff has lines going back to some eli genes....and you still get that type(BLACK,LONG LEGS,LONG BODY,RED EYE LIDS,VERY INTENSE). Every so often...9 out of 10 of these black ones are great....my favorite:):):)...strong throw backs..

  16. Glad to her it!.. Without saying to much on the matter..wat way??light? Spade?single handed?how quick?p.m if u wish...

  17. Thanks David,I did not no that.over here David we have French wild boar, and reports say that they are different from other European boar's. (Not sure how true these reports are though).they are a blueish color.... As far as I no you are allowed to cull them if their on your own land.....with a gun.......u are not allowed to dog them..you only allowed to dog rats and rabbit's over here.....RIDICULOUS or what?lol...

A dog that does the job is always good but on average most haven't the heart for it apbt are easyer to get working examples off. Saying that though the best out and out badger dog I've seen was an English bull terrier.

  19. Their even rarer the staffs?can u explain please.p.m if u wish...just curious as I v never seen one.
