need some info

Never had this problem so I need some suggestions. I have been in the game and breeding dogs for a while. I had a bitch to have pups this morning and she will have nothing to do with the pups. She starts licking them and then just walks away. What the Fuck. just need some info on how to get past this. Any info will be appreciated. Thank you.

 

Hey wassup LA HEADHUNTERS. Now that bitch of yours; is that her first litter? I had a bitch do the same thing only because it was her first litter but she came around after a few mins. Is she still neglecting the pups? I'll ask around for more info for ya from some old timers that I know and get back to ya ASAP.

Yea it's her first, but never had this problem before . She's taken an interest, but still act as though she's confused as of what to do.

 

Some young females will do that if they are not very mature when they have the pups. If a young teenager or kid had a baby, they will react close to the same way. There are others that are not very good mothers, I have seen some that are so hot, and so much like a male they never came into a single heat. Each dog is different, most of these dogs are wonderful mothers, but there are some that could care less about their pups. If she continues not to take care of the pups (she can leave them for an extended period of time pretty often, so don't be alarmed if she just gets up to take a break from them) the only thing you can really do is either force her to feed them and clean them, take care of them your self, or put them with another female that has pups (be sure not to put too many with just one mother though, the more she is taken care of the less chance of each one's survival) and make sure that she will accept them if you decide to do that, don't just dropped them in with her, some of these dogs have been known to hurt and injure pups that are not their own, just use a little common sense and everything will be fine.

I have had to intoduce the bitch to being a mother before by putting a pup on the tit and consoling her while the pups begin to nurse, but if something dont happen soon you will have to supplement and that is never fun. The most important thing is making sure each pup gets plenty of the bitches milk the first 24 hours and by the way does she act like it hurts when she is being nurse or are her tits red or inflamed? GOOD LUCK and keep us posted.

 

She doesn't act like it hurts , but she hates the pups being in her face and will not move it. She goes off. Other than that she is now doing 100% better with them letting them eat and cleaning them. Heard after I posted this that her mother will not mess with the pups until she has had all of them. Guess this Bitch is like that too. On another note got some high hopes for these they are off my pure bred Carver male UGLY to a double-bred GRCH Raggs bitch. Can't wait!!! THANKS for all of your info guys.
