    rocksteady I'll drink to that..

It depends on what registry you're showing with..UKC, ADBA, AADR, ect

UKC is the most formal of all three and you'd be best off to take conformation classes through an obedience intructor. They can teach you the best way to stack and show your dog to its fullest potential

ADBA /AADR are less formal. Allthough your dog should be able to stack , they (the judges) like to see some fire and spunk in them.. (just not towards the judges lol)

The number one thing to help you achieve your goals in the show ring is conditioning!! If your dog is conditioned to a T, then little flaws like ears, a bit of straight hock wont matter unless its a really tight competition. Attitude, confidence..all play apart

It all depends on how old your pup is..a 4 month old pup doesnt need to be conditioned and ripped like a 2 to 3 yo dog does. There are many ways out there to condition your dog..you just have to find one that works for you and your dog..usually tweaking them a bit.

its alot of fun.. the ADBA and AADR are pretty family orienated, too. I hear the UKC is but I dont show in that..its pretty much for the big blue dogs lol.
