Thanks,I think it'll make me a good shooter and occasional ccw piece.I've never had a Sig that wouldn't shoot,I'm sure there's one somewhere but I've not shot it yet. Just need to pick me up some extra mags and a good holster now.

nice. am guessing they are the same or similar caliber. how do they compare ? and what do they weigh ?

No,the G27 is a .40 and the P228 is 9mm. I haven't personally weighed either one but according to the owners manual for the P228 it is 29.2 oz with a unloaded mag,and I believe the Glock 27 is right at 20 oz if my memory is correct (which it's not all the time, lol)

ive seen mags stamped M11 sold at gun shows, good MecGar mags made for the US military's 228s. picked em up for $10 in wrapper and they work in my 228 as well as the factory mags. keep your eyes pealed, thats alot cheaper than buying em $45 a piece from Sig. most folks dont know the 228 was used as an option for those who dont have big enough hands for the Beretta M9, or they need to pack a smaller pistol....maybe pilots?

what size frame did you get? i know the 250 is that odd interchangable mechanism that can be used in the different frame/slide combinations. Sig got real creative on that one, but i havent had a chance to mess around with one yet, just handled em at shows. interesting idea, i'll say that.... keep us updated on how that gun works out for ya.

  13. i got a Sig P229 in two-tone that i love!! But its not a 1911 : )

I just shoot best with it, Jacko. The fact it's in a nice caliber and good size for concealed carry is bonus.
