My new additions...

Just wanted to brag a little on my newest additions....

Born May 28, 2005 in the early morning hours we have 4 girls, and 4 boys from Ms. Maggie Mae (http://www.geocities.com/rampageknls/Maggie.html) and Mr. Bo (http://www.geocities.com/rampageknls/Bo.html)!!

We are sooo excited about this litter! Up until 2 1/2 weeks before delivered we didn't think she had took then all of a sudden ballooned out..lol...

I'll have to get some pictures online soon for everyone to see... and before anyone asks..... These are not for sale..lol

Just curious because i'm trying to learn about everthing I can, with 8 pups the female can look normal till 7 weeks of being pregnant? I Have heard all kinds of stories of how some show and some don't, it must be confusing to know when females are really pregnant, i've heard so many stories.....

 

Usually I can tell around the 1/2 point but with this bitch she carried the pups high in her ribs (she has a deep chest) and only had a small belly, similiar to a dog that has just put on a couple extra pounds...lol When she did show it was sudden and positive because her bags started to swell at the same time....

I had her in show shape and working on a mill in the hope that I could take her to the Norman show up until 3 weeks before she dropped the pups...lol

 

How was her appetite throughout the 9 weeks, how much was she eating compared to normal? Are the pups all kept inside the ribs of the female? Did her chest only get big or does her actual stomach get fat too? Just curious, never bred before....
