I personally wouldn't start training her until she is 12 -18 months old. Let her be a puppy first. I too tried my female once just to see if she even would and she did and liked it.But I will wait a couple more months (she is 12 months old now) until I try it again and she how much she can do , I do show her and thats just might be were it ends! lol

    rocksteady I'll drink to that..

You really need to give her some time to mautre first. Then you need to start out small. You're lucky you didnt seriously injure your pup.. 65 pounds is alot of weight to just try for the fun of it on a 3 month old pup!

there are several good websites pertaining to weight pulling that can help you get started in the right direction

Also..the most important thing in weight pulling is a properlly fitting harness that is designed for weight pulling..

    Good post, RockSteady.

Let your pup mature man..you could cause serious injury with those kinds of stunts.

I Know I Have To Let Her Mature I Said I Was Trying To See If She Like It And SHE ENJOYED IT

  6. Dogs Pull For Love, Not Because You Just Want Them To Pull. Please Be Careful With Alot Of Weight At First. Just Like Someone Else Said You Could Have Injured Your Pup. Puppies Bones Are Still Growing And They Are Flexable. So If You Start Out With Alot Of Weight You Will Mess Up How Her Bones Grow. Then When She Is Old Enough To Pull, Her Bones Want Allow Her To Pull Her Maxium Weight And She Will Never Pull As Good As She Should.
