Second of all saying your dog injured to many dogs and calling yourself a responsible owner is kind of contradictory isn't it? when i said fasting i meant a meal. the only way my dogs would only suffer a day of not eating completely is if they did something wrong.

his rib muscles were showing then. they are much more defined now. his back muscles go from neck to tail. most people only have their dogs neck chiseled. i don't have any pics. i will take this video down after you view it.

dont do this lol none of it. dont put the chain on him thinking it will build muscle. you put the chain on to confine the dog and nothing else. you never want to take away the dogs food during a keep. you are referring to what you have read on raw/dog prey model sites. i have done this and still do it from time to time once and awhile WHEN NOT IN A KEEP. you do this when the dog is not active to clean them out. you dont give more the next day after a fast you give more the day before. i dont know what your deal with the muzzle is. first i ever heard that but i smell bullshit through my computer screen.

 

who said it was a keep? read on then you might understand. some of us watch our dogs stomachs and decide how much they should eat each day.

 

fasting is very arguable, but you are doing it very wrong. i might only do this 2-3 times a month at most and you feed more the day before and never when in a keep.

 

it doesnt even have to be a keep, i dont do it period if he is anywhere near active. the prey model/raw diet feeders believe it gives the body time to clear out. the ones that do it to get the dog in a "PREY MODEL" as what they are meant to be like in the wild are crazy as these are not wild animals.

 

the thread is about getting the rib muscle to show. i already stated when i said on "fasting days" my dogs could earn treats for performing well (beat me in bite sleeve or tug of war, fast bike ride time, etc.)

 

i embrace the wild in my dog. if you don't understand it don't persecute those who do embrace it. no way a canid would get food every day in the wild. maybe some scraps here and there.

 

i remember you! boogie is right.. you claimed you can run your dog in 100 degree weather with a muzzle on without it overheating.... mk.

all i have to say to the OP is that Boogie is probably amongst one of the only people I would trust on any forum I belong to because his information, beliefs, and what has to say is always consistent. Plus he has some of the best lookin' dogs I've seen... he would know more than most of us about conditioning/muscle.

 

yes, but you are talking of wolves and coyotes. that hunt in packs. domesticated dogs dont compare to wild animals. your imagining something other than you should.
