LOL Where's All Them Vick Lovers?

    Any Philly fan knows this is par for the course, Vick could get traded to Buffalo, or Arizona even the Raiders and have a stellar career just not in Philly lol-The whole thing is messed up there(In Philly), the last two seasons with Reid, and now this with latest fiasco with Kelly. Philly used to be about power and above all else a smash mouth defense, that is gone along with that bad attitude. Too many cry babies who do not get it done cashing checks there now. Vick is no savior but if everyone tightened up their boot straps and made a commitment to at least compete every week Philly fans would be just fine with that, and we would probably make the playoffs lol As far as Foles goes he plays better because he has no pressure and teams have not scouted or prepped for him, there was another Qb in Philly not long ago(the next Jaworski) and he got traded away for huge money...nowhere to be seen.

    15/25 for 200 yards with 3 sacks and a fumble is hardly what I would call going off lol. The majority of that was in the first quarter when the defense was picking their ass freaking out on the hurry up offense. The rest of the game he sucks balls to the point they damn near lost the game lol. YAC by his receivers sure skews his passing stats too lol

    It doesn't take a fast, running qb to operate Chip Kelly's offense. It takes a quick decision making qb. One who sees the breaking of the play, the flow, and reacts to it instantly and accurately. Spread offense doesn't function well if your offensive line is like the wall at the Alamo. Read option becomes read and react when the flood gates are open 15 plus times in a game.
    Look what is happening to Eli. It makes no difference if you're a standard, pocket qb or a Vick, Pryor, Wilson, Newton or pretty mobile like Rodgers and A. Smith.
    I think Vick is doing more than his part in the kelly flow of things. If you look at what he has done on the rather rare occasions when he IS protected, The let down in that offense becomes obvious, and it is obviously the O-line.

    That is why the spread offense leaves a lot to be desired. It is quick and fast and puts points on the board. Those very things lead to a teams demise because the defense is on the field far too much.

    Remember when Bill Walsh started the vaunted West Coast offense. The West Coast offense was nothing more than a system of "long" handoffs. Get the ball into the hands of players who could make plays, but more importantly move the chains. Those teams that won title with that offense in turn had stellar defenses. Reason #1 were it was a collection of good players, but the key factor was they were on the sidelines more than on the field.

    The spread/read option does the exact opposite. Look at Philly's time of possession. The Niner's yesterday. Defense just had to play too much.

    What they all have in common is that when they win the QB gets all the credit and when they lose, well the QB gets all the blame.

    The game is so simple, just block and tackle, but we have to make it difficult so we can justify all the NFL shows, Inside the NFL, Outside the NFL, Top of the NFL, Beside the NFL, Underneath the NFL, ....If they just came on and said 'block and tackle' the shows would be off the air. S
