yes!!! he is a 50/50 cross but out of 2 ""very"" pure bred dogs. however in his particulair case the trowback is leaning to one side.

his gene pool came tru Tug into Preudens into Fire fox to red bull into him, the dogs that take ore tip to Tug who are red(dish) are called Fox dogs because of the dogs behind Tug who push there gens tru tru the generations .

also fwiw these Hybrid dogs CHANGE color during the seasons they nearly turn compleatly red in summer time and darken up in the winter(red bull ,fire fox, preudens). The Red Dog above is called Deserd Fox.
he , like Fatso, angel and snubby(Nelis x Tug ) and miss piggy and chester(spike x tug) and Bulletje , Trever and Honey boy (out of fatso x miss piggy) where at least in the color departmend trow back dogs to Tug.

but they where eather first gen dogs ore purebreds based on Nelis x tug x spike x tug. .. however altho Tug was very presented in these dogs NON of them lookt more like her then Deserd Fox who is a outcross.
Dogs like Red Bull(deserd fox sire) are the end of the line,in breeding them pure on these dogs. (going a generation feurther wil give defaults).
and should be out croses and ore lightly line bred. in this case he was bred for the first time age 10 and produced this male deserd fox and littermates..

Deserd Fox should be a outstanding canidate to be used breeding back in the blood.. where its needed
This dog is a perfect aczample in what i have discribed befor in reading a pedegree ore reading a dog. obviusly he is to me a 80% trowback to Tug but on paper he is a cross.
Here is where lot of people can go wrong in the breeding departmend .

Yes some dogs of this famely whent to new zeeland and australia. . lots of the Nelis x Tug pups and later generation dogs had that broader muzle. pup could defenatly be one of those trowbacks to that side of the pedegree. but sometimes things change when they grow up. same as in humans when we grow up difrend parends at diferend times show up while growing...there are defenatly simulareties there,.
