    Hi everyone, several months ago I became a new mommy to Ms. Melena 1592490394608.jpg an american bully she was used in a puppy mill an was abused by the male owner. She is very sweet and loving BUT she hates men. She get very defensive and protective when a male comes around. So I need some help helping her if anyone has any advice for me it would be much appreciated. We love her so much

    Time and small steps.

    If she does not like something do not force it upon her. That would be like re-enforcing her thinking it is already bad. And things go backwards.

    If there is a game or ball or a toy she likes slowly introduce the man into the game.

    And then do some self reflection? If the man/male is your child then think if it is worth it? If it is your husband/fther he is grown and should be able to make good decisions around the dog.

    If it i your boyfriend or a guy you date or might date, then having a dog like that can be a good thing. LOL. Being a guy, I know some guys. LOL

    Going slow and having patience is the only true way to change a dog.

    Thank you for the advice she is a wonderful dog full of love and I refuse to give up on her. This is her forever home now. She has a baby brother his name is Riot they have become best friends he looks mean but he is nothing but love in pic he was pissed cause sissy brought a kitten home 20200624_123316.jpg
