it does bring all kinds of people together.....true story..

Once upon a long time ago in a world far, far away we left from NC went north. We went to meet some people who were at a win streak of like 10 or 11 in a row, maybe 15 out of 16. They had pooled resources near perfectly. They were about the hottest thing going.

Picture this...It was just after 9/11. The sun went down and 12-15 people started their evening prayers. It could even had that stereotypical 'bad guy muslim/middle east music' they play in all the movies. Complete silence for what seemed like forever. Two fat white guys standing behind them holding a dog. I was thinking, "I have played hell now". It was a rough looking bunch.

They finished and we had a great time. People from the opposite end of the spectrum, it could not have been anymore diverse, and it was a great night. Pure sportsmanship and pure competitive drive. It was a bunch of good guys, some I still call my friends today.

All brought together by these dogs.

    That time, yes.

That may have made it all the more. It had all the makings for bad blood and couple that with a home team loss, things could have went way south.

It was all about the sport and all about respect.
