John Colby and others

I am not interested in starting up the Colby game or not issue! Discussion of how better the fastlane dogs are.

What I really would like to discuss is other kennels and breeders of the pure Colby blood.

Who is working with this line?
Does John Colby still breed and sell?
Other kennels still using?

Is it possible to acquire good Colby honest and true without Lou?

What Blackpoison posted. And YES I have a great example of a Colby dog from John down in TX and I could not be more happy with him. Plus the Colby family all grew up with the dogs and possess the knowledge and family secret to breeding and caring for dogs. I believe his grandson and son will carry on the Colby legacy as it should be. I believe the Colby dogs to be THE most important line of dogs right now. How many families of dogs exist today?

So am i ! dutchy954 refered me to Rampage, Because of Glenn's help, i was able to purchase the pair of 6month old 100% pure colby dogs from Stacia, "Lady Rampage" Major and Raven. They are Absloutley Amazing. Very Spunky, Smart, Rainge, Pups. Raven is Black brindle, Major Buckskin and white. Ps, I live over a thousand miles away from Rampage and i wouldnt take triple the amount i have in the pair' I have to thank God, the Colby family Glenn, and Stacia, aka,lady Rampage ! I feel very honnerd to have a peice of American History. Mr Lou Colby rip, and Glenn were very proud of me for buying this pair of Colby dogs .

 

Could you guys post a pedigree and/or a picture of your Colby dogs?

I know still water has some pure colby dogs and a few others that where willing to pay the $1200 a pup .
As for them being truly worked or tested i haven't heard of that ppl buy these dog for the name and there own piece of history .
As for John if he heard half of what he was told told growing up he more than knows what a real dog is .As for the man i don't know and only time will tell lets hope he lives up to his last name but he has huge shoes to fill .

 

John has extremely strict standards of breeding and he has been doing so for a long while now.. I have a male from him and I could not be anymore pleased with him. There are 20 times more jeep redboy dogs out in the world than Colby dogs. It is a honor to own some Colby dogs. They simply are the best. And they are what can save the APBT forever.

And stillwater has a great colby dog by the name of Scoobie/ toby... He is quite the specimen of a bulldog.

My male from john is the red with the ears done and female is the brindle...

Anyone keeping one as a housedog?
Or do they tend to be to wild for housedog?

 

Those are both housedogs... Colby dogs are very smart animals and they know how they should act. They are not the real loud type but they get down to business.. I live in the city so it is tough. But we find a way to keep responsible so the dogs do not hurt themselves or other dogs in and outside the house. Hopefully a yard of Colby dogs and colby crosses soon.

Yes he did, not too long ago.

 

Brutus stays inside, does not use a crate, is over a year old, trained well. He is from the Family of dogs we are talking about. Smartest one I have came across yet.
100% Family dog. He has a 3 yr old, 4 yr old, 9 yr old, me and my Wife. love all the way around. Proud to happy to have him!

Lou's grandson Peter will be taking over for Lou and breeding the dogs the fourth generation of Colby's to do so.
