    Its a new registery run by Tom Garner...I've heard some skeptics about it. What I have heard, not my thoughts, but by others, some worry because he has been convicted that the feds will be watching his registery, shows, etc and that they will be able to get the information about your dogs and you very easily...

    Tom told me that the whole reason he made his own registery was to actually make sure the "feds" wouldnt be able to do any of those things you mentioned. Yes it is true adba didnt want to register any more frisco dogs unless they had dna profileing done, but thats what he was most worried about. The adba letting that kind of information out to the "feds" and having his dogs traced back to him from the damn dna profile. So if someone was doing something illegal (God forbid) with an animal bought from Tom, and then they were busted, it would be traced back to Garner and then there you would go. Besides i dont think Tom is trying to cooperate with the "feds" and makes sure nothing is out there in the open. Unlike the adba....

    Yeah..but thats just what others had said...I haven't gotten to look or see anything about his registery yet...with all of those out there right now, I'm waiting till they last before registering any..
    Good luck

    What about bonafide registry? Anyone had any experience with them? Got a pup whose family is registered through that company.. Are they legit, or would it be safer to just keep my own information?

    Thanks,

    I knew a lot of people that started to used BFKC instead of the ADBA, I have a couple dogs that are BFKC registered.

    First of all, the dog makes the papers, not the other way around. A lot of breeders today, who are looking to make ca$h, place emphasis on papers over the pup's parents' production record. Tom Garner is a good dude. Yes, he has had problems with the A.D.B.A., over DNA. Both will comply with federal supeona's. They have no choice. That being said, if the A.D.B.A., was good enough for Tom Garner to be with (AT ONE TIME) , they are good enough for me. As far as bonifide, and sporting dog registries ; they are both as good as each other. Both produce "papers", for the unspecting buyer. Both rate behind the A.D.B.A. (IN MY OPINION), in "GOOD PAPERS".`Both focus on gameness over conformation. Both rate ahead of the A.K.C. / U.K.C. (IN MY OPINION). Both are so easy to get, that if you know enough to fake them, you know enough to try and turn out good dogs.I think all papers rank behind dealing with a breeder that you can trust, and who has consistantly turned out the type of dog that you are looking for. I have been involved with this breed for 25yrs. I have never made it rich. The closest I've come, is to "almost break even". Focus more on what you view as "quality". If your defination of "quality", is "papers", go A.D.B.A.. Otherwise, focus on the breeder, the dog, and his parents verifiable production record. Look at past litters, and talk to the other owners. Especially if it is a repeat breeding. If the breeder isn't in contact with owners of the dogs he bred and sold... he probably won't keep in contact with you.
    P.S. DNA can't say who sold the dog to who, or why, how much. Dog could be stolen. I think the "FRISCO", situation played a larger role than is being let on. (IMHO)

    I use it. I think its a good registry. I think they all have little problems. If it comes down to it they will all work with the feds. But like most say its the dog, not the papers that matter.

    The question as to SDR;

    I have tried the registry with a couple dogs, and though it has been said that they are very quick with sending papers back, I have found that they quickly cash the check, and then, after a month or two of waiting, I had to make phone calls to get them to send papers to me. This has been my experience, not just once, but in three seperate occasions. Also, I know another fellow that hasnt got his papers back, and it has been 4 months. When I spoke to them I heard one excuse after the other as to why they had not arrived. Basically, if you dont mind the wait, go ahead. Me personally, I was looking for an alternative to the adba for my dogs, and found this registry lacking in what counts second to accountability, service. A registry should be strong in service. I was told they had this, and have not seen this, so I will not use them again, and will tell anyone who wants to listen my experience, no matter who's registry it is!

    Please explain this? Who's a snitch? Who did they snitch on? Do you have proof?
    Thats a strong statement to make without something backing it up? Second or third hand knowledge at least?

    He should justify his comments. That is serious dirt to throw on someone.
    P.S. not you SLICK WILLIE

    Hey I know man! The jerk saying BFKC is a snitch is crying about the MV shit! BFKC did not say anything about one person. BFKC can't help it if his name shows up back in the 3ed and 4th gen of some dumbasses dogs pedigree! You gotta have a pass to get on that yard, we all know that!!!

    I like the pedigrees and percents they put on the paperwork. BFKC is very good also!!!
