so i finally figured out how to get a springpole in my apartment without damaging anything that could jeopardize my deposit, its a A frame swingset styled springpole in my dining area (i dont have a dining room table, and usually eat at my computer desk, so it was perfect use of the space)

    anyways, check it out

as for the possibility of it breaking and going through the window i have plans to screw in a 2x4 width wise a few inches longer then the window to the end of the top beam. just in case my boy starts to get crazy on it and it collapses the 2x4 will stop it from going passed the window frame, but it holds me @212lbs yanking it around. better to be safe with a $1 fix rather then a few hundred dollar window.

any questions to those wondering how i did it, i can always take detailed pics and post them...

Looks good man! On a side note, I can tell you don't have a ol lady that stays with you lol. That shit wouldn't happen. Good idea to keep the dog working the pole!

yeah im a bachelor, and even if i did have a girl, my dogs fitness comes first lol, ive had springpoles for about 1o years now and its a way of life when it comes to my dogs routines...

that being said.. my dog doesnt like it yet, he will play tug of war with someone, but the problem with that is i was in a bad accident and severed my right arm to the bone, its been reattached but i dont have much in the way of grip yet so i have to find ways around it. hes not used to the springpole yet, im hoping some cow hide will remedy the situation, we will see

I'm sure he will, with my experience it's usually the noise that the spring makes that spooks the dog at first. Hope you get to feeling 100% soon! Just messing with ya bout the bachelor setup too, I'd do the same my man. Just something I thought of immediately. Way to use your imagination on this one.

yeah i gotcha lol ive had picky women that just dont understand a mans relationship to his pitbull, so i learned long ago when i was married to side with my pit lol only draw back is he hasnt learned to do dishes yet, but we are working on that lmfao

and yeah its the noise that has him wondering, so i just took the spring out for now while he adjusts, his favorite thing is to chew up water bottles, so i just got him a toy thats a firehose with a waterbottle inside, im hoping to get him hooked on that toy then move it to the springpole.

And if someone ever come investigate it's your workout equipment. I would had it done a bit differently if I was you... I would have built a complete box frame in the room with the rope in the center of the room away from any studs or wall the dog can scratch or hit against. I would of also put the spring a bit higher (mine tends to clip it in excitement when it was low) and put something above the spring that would prevent the role from getting tangled up or against the ceiling. This way you still have use for much of the room when your future lady wants to crash over. Good job tho.

I gotta give you credit..... if their is a will...there is a way!!!! This put a smile on my face for your efforts and love of your dogs . I am not as handy or creative as you are and i am sure this idea came into your mind. Have you cosidered using bungee cords in place of the spring? Just a thought of mine ....great job, hope you and your hounds enjoy many hours of play time!!!

    thank you very much!

yeah the spring is debatable, id much rather use a bungee as this isnt as high up as id like it to be. Im used to using garage door springs, and always have, but i had the headroom to keep it away.

Right now im getting my guy used to it, so i dont even have the spring on it, its too noisy for him.
