Hi all. I am new to GD, I've been lurking here for a long time though. I found this site through PBC, which I've been a member of for quite a while. I appreciate all the history this site has to offer. I love reading about hog hunting, and would love to get into the sport, but I don't even know where to begin or how to even find a mentor, plus I recently moved from GA to suburban NW Ohio so there's no hogs here anyway.
I don't have a lot to offer members of GD because I've only owned household pets, a few of which have earned some AKC titles, but nothing as serious or dedicated as most of you here.
I joined to take my learning to the next level.
I currently have an Am Bully whom was rehomed to me by a family that was not fit to own any dog, let alone a dog with bull dog blood.
Prior to her, I owned an APBT/BC cross, and she was the most reactive, DA, eventually HA pain in the ass ever. However, she was my favorite. I had her euthanized bc of the HA.
I've had several other bull breed mixes and several dobes and two Rottweilers, throughout the years.
I'd love to one day own a well-bred APBT, however, I'd like my kids to be a little older and self-sufficient before I'd make the investment.
    That's really it about me.
    Thanks!

Welcome Raven! Michele is right, this site has a plethora (is that even a word?) of information lol. A friend of mine hunts hogs with Dogos down here in South West Ohio, i bet if you get on out, there is hogs up there somewhere but you're right, it's not something to try and learn by yourself.

I didn't know you were in Ohio ?!?!?!? That's awesome. I thought I was the only one from the Buckeye State. And, yeah, hog hunting is a pipe dream for me. I have young kids, single mom, in school aaaaand, probably would not be taken seriously in the hunting community. I do love hearing about it though, and think it is cool as shit!!!
I'd love to do that rat elimination stuff that Michele posted about. However, not many rats here either. And, this bully mutt I have has the prey drive of a wet mop. LOL
