Please dont add a bully section. I think the pit serves its purpous. It realy dont get used often. Jokes are funny. I do not want this site to turn into a genaric crappy petbull/amstaff/Bully site. I dont want GAME-dog.com to SELL OUT!

 

I just want a place to go that number one won't ban me for saying I have gamebred dogs(not this one btw), will allow me to say what I do and do not like about such and such OLD dogman.(not this one again).
Will let me say "somewhat" pet bull things without being just drippy oozy tree huggy.
I want a site that won't ask me "so what have you done to further this breed?" It might not be any of your business what I have and have not done.
Last but not least, have a decent place without bitchiness that people can come and learn(I KNOW it is HARD)that it is NOT ok to go to doggy parks and all that other KUM BY YAH stuff. Too many forums are just downright nasty. I teach for the dogs more than for the humans believe me. If I am just acidic with a newbie they are going to shut down and let their dog kill something or somebody maybe and there ya go.:mad:
Maybe put a sticky that all members are required to read that states our position on dog parks, off leashing, etc and tell folks that is that. If you don't like that policy, please leave.
Peds online is great reading, but face it , it is a den of iniquity. Can't let my daughter read that mess.:eek: It has gone to hell and we all know why.

I like the idea of seperating the individual bloodlines.

Definitley dont want any Bully Forum, while I support Marty for doing all he does this is GAME DOG.COM. If they dont like it they can go elsewhere.

I dont think people should react or bash to the Bully Fans and Tree huggers but just totally ignore them, dont let them get a rise out of you, if we ignore them they will soon go away, they love the drama anyway

A section for old reports, stories and book clippings would be helpful and save a lot of digging.

I wasnt around for any of the Oldtimers but I think they can only enhance the forum for all our benefit, even if they are plain speaking and too the point, were all grown Men and Women and if we cant take some harsh words or CONSTRUCTIVE criticism from time to time we shouldnt even get up in the morning.

All in all, I want Game Dog to meen Game dogs, no BS, no Bitching, no politics and no whingers.

I hope it all works out, I would hate to see this place shut down, I owe a lot to you guys

 

For me I would like for whoever takes ownership to keep pushing forward, this is/was a great site and there is still much more to learn and share with each other.

I know myself I will probably step down from my position ( Im sure hearts are broken ) due to my plate being full with my own internet ventures. If we do get a new owner I may stay on for a bit to help keep things rolling til the new owner/ owners get acclimated in what they want to do.

I very much like the site as it is, we have made some good changes wether one agree's or not, what has been done has all been done with good intentions and I have no regrets for any of my actions. Some folks just do not understand the legallities of the situation sometimes, some things are better left unsaid especially in this era in time.

All members can learn and teach, there should be a place for everyone to come together with a common bond in these dogs. I do not fancy the Bully style dogs but I would accept a sub-forum for them to come and learn and share. I am not saying anyone should run out and do it but I would not be opposed to it either. It would seem the site alot of you folks want just cannot really exist, that time has come and gone and no real good will come from it. Its great that alot of us fancy and admire true workings dogs but our respect and admiration is used against us often. I do not feel tree-huggers should rain supreme but they should be welcomed too, you never know how many will open thier eyes to the truth if only time was taken to teach it.

 

a bully section would just be ONE MORE bully section id ignore....its a waste of time IMO and defeats the title Game-Dog.com. The gamebred and the bully crowd dont have enough in common to share a forum

Being PC sucks, it shouldn't be anyone else job to protect someone from themselves, simple is better, I like pictures but only when I want to go look at them, just because I don't share you opinion or belief doesn't mean I can't debate with you, enforce the rules in place equally instead of making news rules or twisting rules to fit your agenda.

Just somethings that "I" think every forum should abide by.

If someone can't vouch for you outside of the internet, you don't get in.

 

id like to see it stay public, ive met alotta real stand up folk on here, but the members list at the mods choice...that makes sense. if youve ever had to be a mod, a probationary period would make sense. you dont cut it,... bye-bye.

i think game dog forum should always stay public, it has been here to educate all along it wouldn't be game dog if the mission changed. anyone can start there own forum public or private why change this one? sound famaliar? lol

 

Pit bull chat has a lot of the same stuff we do here. I just think with a name like game-dog, it should be focused on such.

 

totally agree it should be focused on game dogs, personally i just don't think turning this forum into a private forum is the way to go. ROM tried that and it was a complete failure. if someone doesn't like the format as it is why pay the price for the site, just create a new site. i don't see a problem adding a private area, but in my experience from other sites, all that does is seperate the members, traffic falls way off, and the site is only a shell of what it once was.

 

First of all good luck to Marty, I hope everything works the best possible way for him.
If this forum doesn't sell and they decide to keep it running, I propose a small annual fee for every member, even 1$ by each could help to keep it running.
There isn't anything I would deduct, exept from bully stuff, what I like I read and what I don't care about, eg the pit, I don't.
I like it public, if it wasn't how could I get in? I am a foreigner. I also like that behind each user name there might be a man or woman of every color and nationality a group which includes myself. If it was private I guess most members would be USA based that live in a hostile law environment, then it would only serve the purpose of a communication tool among them. I wouldn't be accepted and I wouldn't learn what I do now.
I have been to other forums and I don't like their FOR SALE sections, but what If a person like me wishes to buy a dog from USA? why should I go elsewhere or searching through thousands bully webpages in an effort to find a real classic dog? maybe there are some respectable members from this forum that would offer me a dog, why should I give money to others that keep breeding machines for profit and nothing more? Could someone propose something for this? Maybe a WTB section?

I'm not entirely against a classifieds section and a stud section,I know I've bought dogs before,got dogs for nearly nothing too but I've bought some.If the site would charge for classifieds and only allow gamebred dogs on it,it might not be so bad.I know if anyone looks online it's bullies everywhere.:mad:As long as the classifieds were moderated closely,I could be ok with it.I could also be ok if the site wanted to charge 25 to 30 bucks a year like online peds do,if it would help keep it going.Maybe not a perfect solution but one I could live with.
