The truth about Reid dogs was either disregarded or covered up over the past 30 years, people deceived by fake news, hype and propaganda and some of it from pundits on this board.. The only Reid dogs ever given recognition was Scotsman's Max and the dogs descended from him (I owned more than most) while other Reid dogs got overlooked.. However, 30 champions rather hard to conceal.. This thread spotlights the source of them.. One common denominator, one man, one name.. Ed Reid!
Remember that one F.W.K. The dog with it's head in the water bucket was Reid's Rangitang, sire of Champions Sheena Black and Jacko.. Produced intense sporting dogs, but also people aggressive so Ed Reid removed him from his breeding programme.

Never trust a dog who can breath underwater around people , it could be a Alligator.

This thread is getting ridiculous imo, many of the dogs listed I wouldn’t class as Reid dogs. If there was a similar thread on the Limey, Patrick or Stafford cross Chs how many of the dogs on this thread would also have to be included?

Considering the numbers of Reid dogs and crosses there were up and down the country compared to other lines. I think it’s rather disappointing to see only 30-40 Ch’s.

Look back at the PBN and the Reid dogs had more write ups or received more hype than any other line, most of the Reid Ch’s had write ups. How many Ch’s from other lines did in comparison? Max had his recognition as did the other Reid ch’s in their PBN write ips. But out of the untold numbers of dogs Reid sold, there was only one other dog imo that showed he could consistently produce good dogs, namely Scrapper and his stud career was short.
