How do you train your dog...?

I was wondering how you guys train your dog for a confermation show.

I start my first real training with my dog for a show on August 18th.

My dog walks free all day at the stables and runs en plays with the other dogs like 6 a 7 hours a day. If she comes home i walk her on a leash for aprox 45 minutes if she had her day at the stables. I walk for 4 days and give her 2 days complete free. Only a walk in the park. The other day i go with the bike for about 10-12 km. I got 2 moths left for the show.

Any advice are welcome necause i'm a first time conditioner... My girl is now almost 2 years old and now i think she is old enough to train her more and more...

Sounds like your on the right track. I would say lengthen your handwalking everyday, also maybe try flirtpole, springpole. Handwalking, flirtpole, springpole, and playing fetch and running around with the other dogs are about the only types of conditioning I do. Good luck with your conditioning and in the show. Feed good food and give him rest every few days.

 

I do also some flirtpoling 2 times a week...fetch and run i do also after flirtpoling just because she loves to chase the ball... I feed her now Red Mills Racer. I'll take 12 gram of food per kilo body weight. she got 2 days in a week rest and every evening she is asleep if we dont work.

I'll try tommorow to post some fotos of her from a moth ago and how she is doing right now.
