The "it's all in how you raise them" crowd...... they dont know shit about bulldogs.

Many a gamedog will be harmless to little dogs. However, its always best to get it in your head that your dog with attack the other dog. So avoid being statistic and don't interact. Surely your dog enjoys your company. That is really all they need is human companionship.

Its your social desires to be with like beings that has you thinking the dog needs this. It doesn't.

You don't need training lessons it's the other people with lose dogs over we're I live they never have there dogs on leads an my dog dose not like stray dogs coming in his face at all but he's fine other wise even with the occasional one you might see on a lead he ok and he's been attacked in past by a irresponsible owner of an Alsatian whom decided to let his aggressive dog run straight out of door an attack my rocky luckily he got control off the other dog but it took my son to price his mouth open before he would release the other dog I blame the owners idiots an it took this dog a couple of bites puncture bites be fore rocky reacted now he's up for it straight away with any that are cocky as I put it This is why pit bulls get a bad name over here there banned over here now

Please realize buldogs require an experienced handler with strong and confident character.
these characteristics you do not possess.
Added to this, your obvious lack of understanding of the breed is alarming.
But you are not alone. there are many people that have seen the recommendations and yet despite not having experience or confident character, insist on having a bulldog.
Please consider what you are doing leads to a bad ending. Sooner or later.

Look into another dog breed, or don't walk your dog during the day. Anything you do to stop your apbt from being his natural self will only kill the spirit of your dog.

  5. You said your Dog goes after other Dogs Desperately right?

I think that your Dog is not mentally well,He is craving for socialization.

Not trying to Bash your Problem but Rather addressing directly to it,As you know dogs sniff each other because that is 33% of the way they get to know each others.A dog that is suffering with anxiety will Do all it takes to reach out for other canines, this is dangerous as your Dog might Start a Very nasty Fight without even having that as a Objective.

·It wouldn't be the First Time that Some Random Dog came Sniffing Rocky and if it was not for the fact i always have Rock "in check" a fight would break out and Probably i would be accused of starting it (Breed Stereotyping)...
·Are you sure your Dog is getting the mental and Physical Challenge he Needs?id say 60% of the times a Dog that is too excited ends up being a Dog that Is not exercising both Physically and mentally enough,So it starts repressing Those needs and becomes a Time Bomb....

Point is,although we look at Dogs as part of the family Household, that we think they don't have 1 Mean Bone in their bodies and other type of Romanticism the truth is They have their animal Instinct as well,And the dogs trust has to be earn,You have to respect Your Dog's Needs and More important of it all he needs to know that he is NOT in charge."You are walking the Dog" Versus "The dog is walking you".

Find a way to Meet with other Dogs more often,ONE at a time Dog rehabilitation is possible ,but it takes a lot of dedications and Effort when it comes to Very powerful breeds like the Pitbull, mastiff's,Bulldog's and the list goes on.

I wish you Good Luck and i hope you find the time to help Your Dog overcome His Social anxiety.
