hi im new here, but not to owning, working and breeding a family of patterdales for over 20 years,i have 5 dogs in my kennels @ the moment 4 of which are all same family (line bred) my old bitch 9 yrs now retired,a dog 3 1/2,a dog 2 ,a bitch pup 6 months, and a bitch which was gifted by a close friend and top class terrierman from opposite end of uk to where i am,all the dogs which are of age are 100% earth dogs, nothing more!
tested week in week out to the only available legal quarry here in uk now since the late 1980's early 90's:mad:,the fox!
anyhow over the past year due to life changing stuff, new family, work commitments ect,i can now only get my dogs excersised once per day for bout 2 mile walk,i need these gladiators to be absoloutly bouncing fit.
which now leads me to a question id like to ask,i am going to make a slatmill to incorporate into their fitness regime to enhance their stamina, has anyone used a one for there patterdales in us?
followed a link for slatmill info, which led me to the pitbull forum here, but the dimensions look a little over kill to me for my 20lbs or so terriers,
would it be just a matter of scalling the mill down to suit what i need, ive got all the materials required, just wanted a little advice before i go ahead with my build!!!
    best regards from uk

hey there, just go to search in the game dogs forum and mills will come up, have a look in there to get some ideas, if they are a bit over kill just use smaller and lighter material, should work great for your dogs!

theres a few on here from uk with slat mills maybe worth asking them and ask a around you might know someone close to you who has one that you can try out, i know there is a firm that builds them but i think their quite pricey.
