Hi everyone!

Hi my name is Julie. I live in the Midwest and I was just looking for info on pitbulls online and I found this site. i read stuff here for like 2 hours before i even thought about joining. There is so much information about them here, its a great site and i was amazed about some of the things they use these dogs for I never knew about until I came here. Like i didnt know they can hunt wild animals and stuff. Thats new to me. But I really am impressed with the dogs that you guys have here that do the pulling. That is so amazing and I never knew Pitbulls were so good at it. I already loved pits but coming here made me love them even more if thats even possible. I want to own one some day but I would want to make sure i could handle it all alone and since I have nobody to help me handle it i need to learn a lot. if i lost control i would feel awful and want to cry if it hurt something, so want to learn for a long time first. So I wonder if you can get pitbulls to listen well enough to have a small person like me who is not so strong to handle them in the city or even like the park where small dogs or animals might be playing. I only weigh like 100lbs and dont want there to be a chance something would happen and I would lose a dog i fell in love with because I couldnt handle him or her since they can be so strong. So i want to learn all i can and do things right so i am ready for the future if I ever find the right puppy for me. This is a great site and i cant wait to learn as much as i can here. Im so glad i found this place and i am glad to be a new member.

Yes small people can learn to handle these and any dog. But you do have to learn how. I would forget the dog park concept as people tend to bash us APBT owners at those. And some people don't keep their dogs on a leash. It isn't likly that a APBT will back down from a fight. definately learn the dog before you get one. any questions ask away I am sure folks will be glad to help you. Julie-I'm small also (5'3" 105lbs). I have 3 APBTs and I can handle them just fine. You just need to make sure they are properly trained. Welcome to the site and enjoy your stay.

 

and I too am short hence the handle like 4'10 and 3/4 not quit a midget lol
but I can handle all my dogs

 

Hey I need to hang out with ya'll so I can feel tall. lol. 5'5" it is hard to find people shorter than me that are not in 5th grade. lol

 

first off welcome to the site,

second i'm small also 5 ft 100lbs and i have 2 that i can handle very very well. it isn't hard when you have great dogs. hope you enjoy your stay, these guys are great and full of info. just watch mister and attilla. hehe they are bad bad boys (possibly need spankings)

yeah were the bad ones, and I thought I had my spanking coming, like put away on lay away with a rain check, anyhow I swear to god I should have got up earlier and started having fun then, I have already missed too much. Julie dear just relax dont worry about cats your here to learn about dogs and this is the best site to learn about APBTs. If you dont mind me asking though, I wouldnt look at you and assume you like APBTs so why would u choose this breed over another?

she likes these dogs same reason all us other pretty girls do, we know handsome, smart dogs when we see them.

so i assume the bad boys get a little out of line and need corrected sometimes around here. Spankings only work tho when you can give a real hard one, so who is the biggest bad guy here and who deserves a spanking most, there has to be someone who is teh worse behaved on here, so who is it do u think
