I researched it and found the 100% alfafa powder. It said to mix 1/4 teaspoon with food daily for a medium size dog and 1/2 tsp. for a large dog. I feed my horse the alfafa cubes that we wet down and my dogs reallly like it. I don't feed it on a regular basis or anything but they will snag a cube when we go by if they can.

Your welcome. You have the powder? It seems to come in all forms. I would look at any natural health food site for more info. Says it is really good for the dogs.

actually i have the plant it self i just crushed it and made it into powder yeah i read that its good for dogs too, i feed raw so they are missing some vitamans in their feed so i will use alfalfa as a supplement.

I tried the raw for about 6 months on four of my dogs. I swapped back to kibble on three of them. I didn't like the way one of their coats looked. I don't think I was doing it exactly right. Not including enough different meats and such. Plus my breeder was worried about the whole choking on bones thing. I kept the one on it because she has such bad allergies. She is doing fine on it.
