Hey there guys, I'm 23 and from NZ. I've come here for some input, I recently adopted a pup from the local shelter he's listed as a staffy x, ( even if dogs are apbt in New Zealand they all all labeled as a staff due to apbt's getting put down if they are obvious usually red nose ). I'm curious if he may be an apbt X ive done lots of image comparisons from google etc and do see some similarities and attached some photos and any thoughts would be great as he's very confident and loves people, he won't leave my side and can be a bit stubborn sometimes. If they have his age right he would be roughly 12 - 14 weeks and he's 8.3 kg. PS sorry about the spelling too, thanks.

It's hard to tell and know fore sure without paper work. Either way he's a good looking dog. Good luck with him.

Most likely he is not an APBT cross as they are banned where you live. Have fun and enjoy your pup.

Good looking pup. He looks like a american staff to me. I say this because he is going to be a good sized dog and since he is mainly white which is less common in american pit bulldogs these days. Nice dog take good care of him.

There is nothing wrong with your pup. Don't let anyone tell you otherwise.

That is true there is nothing wrong with his dog. That being said it doesn't change the fact that the only thing that can be said of this dog is that it is a mutt, I state this impersonally, no harm or insult intended.

Correct. Without papers or even knowing the patents of the dog, he is a mutt. This isn't just true with apbt, but any dog anywhere. I myself have a pitbull type mutt. He was a rescue and I now foster rescue pits with an organization. But, none of them are game or even apbt, and I know nothing of their bloodline. I am on this forum for the sake of learning and future dog purchases

Beautiful dog though. Safe to say he fits under the pitbull umbrella term

They are all mutts until they prove themself...
    DNA analysis might disagree...

    Enjoy them the same...
