I'm so sorry i cant donate i don't have a job and i am broke i really wish i could give some money too you guys i know i cant help at all and i sorry too all the owners and the breed

If you cannot donate please take the info posted here and find dog sites, show sites, hunting and fishing sites and cross post like a mofo!

I have had a few people do that and one person who owns schnauzers donated as a result. Anyone who will be, or is currently being, targeted by the HSUS' agenda to wipe out human-animal contact of all kinds needs to see this.

I work two jobs and do this, so I can't sit online ALL day long and look for places to post this. But, if you have a moment to help me spread the word it would be much appreciated.

If you are a dog owner, fisherman, farmer, hunter or any other variety of American citizen who believes in your rights to Own animals, eat animals and raise animals the time has come for you to stand and be counted.

The Humane Society of the United States has begun working towards the same goals as PETA. This means, unless we stop them now, total Animal Liberation. In case you didn't know "animal liberation" means the complete extinction of domesticated and farm animals, outlawing hunting fishing and all other "animal use."

An organization called Owners, Breeders and Dogs Against Breed Discrimination is currently taking donations to help fund the "Expose the HSUS campaign." This group, a small anti-BSL group, has been watching how the HSUS and PETA's support of anti-dog laws has grown into an all out assault on dog owners, breeders and buyers. They are using false accusations of dog fighting to kill innocent dogs and shut down long time hobby breeders in the "pit bull breed" and allegations of abuse to shut down minature dog breeders as well.

Owners, Breeders and Dogs Against Breed Discrimination has decided to fund a radio ad campaign in order to counter self serving ads the HSUS has recently placed in areas like Tucson, Arizona. This campaign will run in targeted areas alongside an informative website section and Utube video. The radio campaign would grab the attention of listeners guiding them to the campaign's website. Once they are on the website they will see a Utube video which highlights all the nasty tidbits the HSUS doesn't mention when panhandling for their cash.

The website will have detailed information about the HSUS goal of eliminating animal husbandry of all kinds in America. It will outline many of the underhanded tactics they have used in recent months to "capture" dog breeders, kill innocent dogs and then wash their hands of the whole ordeal.

This campaign can reach thousands of American citizens and educate them on what the HSUS is really doing. We can stop this before it goes much further! But, we need your help. Blogging on the internet and running informative websites is not enough anymore. The HSUS is a multi-million dollar corporation which can and does run TV and radio ads regularly. They get free advertisement from news stations who know nothing about their real agenda and millions of pet loving Americans donate to them every year without knowing what the money is really for.

Please donate what you can to help us reach our $1000.00 goal and start the campaign! If you cannot donate, or even if you do donate, please cross post this on every message board, discussion group and myspace page you can find where people who value their Constituitional Rights still can be found.

I am just bumping this as a reminder. All of you who promised to donate and haven't, I know times are tough but they will only get worse for pit bull owners in the years to come if we do not stop it now.

is this still going on? i don't have paypal but if someone could pm me the address i could send a money order or something with all that we can spare. if you would also pm me the links that i would be able to post on websites and send to my friends to post on their websites. anything else i can do just let me know. i could flood the internet with this info if i just had good sources to go by. also did i misread or did someone say something about tv ads? is this a separate fund? sorry for all the questions but i want to make sure i get everything right so i can be as effective as possible. if there's alot of info needed, then pm me and i'll give you my email if that would be easier. i'd like to get something started in tn. it's hitting here too. thanks. if this is no longer going on someone please let me know. imo if it's stopped it should be restarted.

STOPBSL, What is the status on this? Have you commenced depletion of the funds for the intended purposes?

IMHO, we should begin our "attack" by focusing on specific laws. One in particular that seems feasible is changing the way "shelters" temperament test dogs. It kills me to know that our dogs are placed in front of other animals as part of the test. Clearly, very few true to standard APBTs will play nice with a strange dog.

There are leash laws in place, why add the burden of being animal friendly to the live or die criteria?

It is my opinion that these organizations would like the common folk, law enforcement, and politicians to believe that an animal aggressive dog is a POTENTIAL danger to humans.

Let us attack intelligently. Let us focus on achieving short-term goals not attempting to topple the Monster (H$U$) with one blow.

I also would like to take this opportunity to suggest we take a bit different road to our ultimate goal. Rather than focusing on toppling the Monster that is H$U$, why not focus on short-term goals such as changing specific laws?

One that is always on my mind is the method used in "shelter" type organizations. As far as I know, they all expect dogs to be both human and animal friendly. In addition, any dog that does show aggression toward another animal is deemed potentially dangerous to humans and is always killed. This portion of the temperament test MUST be changed if our dogs are to get a better chance of living and being adopted out.

We must review and challenge any law or statute that unfairly requires the standard of our breed to change.

I can't speak for anywhere but Shenandoah County, VA...but that is NOT the case at the local animal shelter.

They currently have a DA pit bull available for adoption...

It's because it is in the news thread. The last time things were "fixed" on the forum, posts in the news areas are not showing up. Marty has been approving them as they come in. Some go through, but most do not.

 

OK you all say you love this breed? we are $250.00 short of our goal, get off your ass and help if you love the breed... and quit bitching about it if you can't and I will know who donated to the cause, if your not man enough to help don't come bitching about nothing about the breed here :rolleyes:

We cannot take paypal donations currently. I changed our status to non profit on paypal because our state and federal papers came in. but, i need a non profit acct.

I have to update this and haven't chosen the bank. . .the one i am using currently is not very good.

For now, any and all donations must be mailed.
