I would try your local town or city hall to get a kennel licence for your area.

  4. This is not specific to florida, but here's a good old thread for you...

There is alot to it I'm sure. My disclaimer is that...you'd have to be in it for the right reasons. I'm willing to bet that most of the people who aren't "big names" (ie TG, LC), etc. aren't making a living off of selling dogs. It's never bad to research.

uh, i don't think i understand. i was asking something totally different. i'm not new to breeding, but thanx anyways. i just moved down here from out of state and don't want nosey neighbors throwing a stick in my spokes. more so i just want to be legal as it is illegal to not have a license and i don't want my dogs to be confiscated and destroyed. which would be really bad for me and law enforcement ya know? :)

having a licence will not stop any of your worries. instead check with ur county on the amount of dogs you can keep as a hobby breeder. the only reason to have a licence is if you are breeding for profit. it wont stop uncle sam from coming if he wants. actually its a big red flag to draw attention to urself.

limmit your breedings, farm out ur pups and respect local laws and you will be ok..

the amount of dogs you are allowed to have in broward county before you are considered a kennel is four. so i don't think that getting a kennel license means i'm doing it for profit. and uncle sam is going to have one hell of a time if he tries taking my children from me. so anyone who KNOWS ABOUT KENNEL LICENSES in florida please help. thanx. :)
