Another point Id like to bring up is that has these staffs get more athletic and rangey they look more like pit bulls, Ive just had a look on raging storms site and ghostly ease, fine looking healthy dogs that are a credit to their owners, but at what point would they fall foul of the DDA ?? Under current laws and using the adba standard Im sure most could be classed as pit bull 'type' (I HATE that phrase).
So if you run the risk of prosection (Even Ed got took to court over 2 bull mongrels) why not just get the real thing ??

 

i was thinking the same myself itsmeagain. i had a look on the site and i was wondering how come they get no hassle when they look alot bigger etc than kc staffs and would fall into the " Type " as you said.

 

More my dad than me but i have an opinion for sure.without saying too much on here its not what i THINK should be done more what IS being done by certain people.
Now this may be way off but this is how i see it.like the reid dogs when they are pure they are very gamey but not much else.the psycho dogs i believe have hit a wall where they need a little injection of something else to progress which has been done with good to excellent results to an irish badger bitch,.also what someone is doing with the red strain,that then crossed with the psycho dogs.

From that then go back to being very selective,line/inbreeding again

i HATE the phrase 'type'

Some one i heard of had some puppies taken,all from the same litter which they gave back half and kept half as pitbull 'type' how f**ked up is that:rolleyes:

Sadly thats how stupid the law is. The same happened to Rustler, they gave him some back and kept some littermates, he was going to get the DNA'ed to prove they was litter mates but the rspca changed their mind and sent them back before it got to that stage. However the way the law is written it could be legaly possible to have two littermates, one that comes under the DDA and one that doesnt. I bet most labradors come under the DDA as would any well put together dog.

 

I appreciate everyones passion but please dont let it be an excuse for the authorities to take people's OPINIONS as gospel. My dogs are blue staff's with the out cross of the pure working Irish Staff's, so to me they are more staff than anything else. Thanks, but please leave my dogs out of your discussion.
I have no trouble because I happen to be a sensible dog owner that has nothing but passion for my dogs and I work hard to make sure they only ever project a POSITIVE image in society.

 

If you didnt want them discussing why join a forum then tell everyone what you have, and have a website with all your dogs on that the whole world can see (or at least those with internet access) and in your first post say "Look forward to chatting to you all" :confused:

I wasnt actually going to put pictures up, but I was asked to put them up so I did, again youre talking to a proud owner.
I do have a web site dedicated to them, but it doesnt have peoples OPINIONS about what breed they think my dogs are..........but when you have several people discussing the fact that my dogs resemble ILLEGAL DOGS, it becomes a problem. Please remember this is a PUBLIC forum and wasnt hard to find.......do we know who's looking at what? No, so could you please save topics that could potentially jeopardise the safety of someones dogs to personal chats and I appreciate your co-operation.

I am looking forward to chatting to all, mainly about history and ways of improving our dogs.
