If it were any other weekend but this one, I'd be able to come (but alas I have to feed my coworkers dogs and horses this weekend).

LOL. A sticky is a thread that remains at the top of the list regardless of the posts in it. Even if no one posts in it for 3 years, it will remain at the top when people go to search the threads.

 

I work that sucks.

But I do want to thank you for what you are doing to help the families.

 

I just wanted to let everyone know that the show went well. We had a nice turn out. It wasn't big, but not bad at all. There were quiet a few folks there who came out just to watch. I thought that was pretty cool because it gave us an opportunity to show people that they do not have to be afraid of our dogs. The local newspaper was there as well. They interviewed a few people, but I really liked the junior handlers interview. The event was on the front page of the newspaper. My friend's little girl was pictured with her dog. I haven't read the article yet, as I do not get that paper because I live in a different city. However, my good friend says that the article is very good. She is mailing me a copy. I will post it as soon as I get it. I am so happy that we were able to shine a little light on what great dogs bulldogs can be.

 

Here is the newspaper article. After the article was printed, two local t.v. shows asked Kayla, the little girl pictured, to appear on their morning show. She has gone down to film the first show this morning. The next t.v. show will be in September. She is very excited and we are just thrilled for her. Since there is so much negative attention on our breed in the media, we hope to shine a more positive light on these dogs.
