if the links should answer the question then you must be mistaken something
the link is about apbt for protection and guard...i wasnt talking about apbt but i was talking about crossing them, and bandogs and mixes arent apbt and never will be.

and i see some talking about it would dangers the breed...but some activities also dangers the breed maybe even more...some states and countries apbt are forbidden because of it.

iff it is about there appearence then there are way more breeds to worry about right?

A mix is looked at as a "pitbull" in the public's eyes. They aren't going to ask to see a ped after the dog bites somebody to verify their lineage LOL.

"and i see some talking about it would dangers the breed...but some activities also dangers the breed maybe even more...some states and countries apbt are forbidden because of it."

I don't know what you're talking about. People trying to use apbts or dogs that look like them are the ones who ARE bad for the breed, IMO. It's people like that who has BSL running through the majority of the US. It's idiots like that who have the dog pound filled up with apbts and mutts a like. They ARE the ones bad for the breed.

"iff it is about there appearence then there are way more breeds to worry about right? "

Again, I don't know what you're talking about. I thought we were talking about apbts used as guard dogs being a bad idea. You went off topic again.

#Encouraging people to mix breeds with a working bulldog is about as $#@!ed as it gets
you where talking about mixing here right? So i didnt went off topic!

#People trying to use apbts or dogs that look like them are the ones who ARE bad for the breed: I asked iff its about there appearence/look and you didnt knew what i was talking about?

You dont know what i mean with activities that are also bad for the breed and maybe even more? And you talk about dog pounds are full pitbull type dogs?
Arent those most of the time abused and abandond "sport" dogs? Bait dogs from those wannabe hood gangsters?

treepitz I was looking forward to your reply but you havent replied yet...i agree with you on some points but im a responsible owner.
i have owned several bull breeds and never had problems with any of them except some unleashed dogs attacking mine.

rotweilers also have a bad reputation, just because it is meant to be a guard dog that doesn't mean its a less danger to the breed when they attack someone, or do these dogs don't matter?
pitbulls don't deserve the reputation they have...true!!! but its everyday on television animal control catching amateurs with yards full of pitbulls neglected and shyt.. that's where these dogs get there reputation from, people think that these dogs are only good for one thing.
some dogs should not get in hands of some types...breeders should be more selective who they sell what dog to.

I socialize my dogs with people and iff possible with animals that's bot priority, and where i live we don't have dogs livin in the yard or kennel, i always leash my dogs and you don't find me in dog parks!
I want a bull breed because there the most loving companion and there is nothing like them, I prefer there coat over any other coat, they shed different than others, and much more.
do i have to take another breed with everything that comes with it because some donkeys cant handle theres???

yeahh that's some shitty English right there hahaha but you know what i mean..

America got bigger problems with these dogs than we do, so i think that's why it doesn't make sense.

we had bsl years ago because of a few incidents with some pitbull type dogs, sinds there is no bsl we don't hear a damn thing about them only on discovery we see this crap!
and there are more crosses here than ever before, and those blue xl bullys are everywhere.
here we don't have so much dogfighting and pitbull type dogs killing people in the news.
a few cops shooting some dogs for no reason that's it.

Telling people not to cross pits and use them as protection/guard dogs or pets so they dont end up in the media...

When a person has a yard full of pitbulls its better not have human aggressive pitbull type dogs, and rather have other breeds for guarding so it doesnt put a extra load on the pitbull breed when there ass get caught with ilegal shyt like dogfighting!!! Now thats where it becomes a little hypocrite

    ttp://www.game-dog.com/showthread.php/68498-Puppies-found-in-cages-dogs-abandoned-in-cars-during-Apopka-dog-fighting-bust

This is what people see all the time in the media and this creates the image people have of these dogs!! People think there monsters bcuz of this!!!
This adds more and more to the problem everytime types like these dumb amateur low lifes getting caught!!

Iff you fix things halfway its still broken!!!

bait dogs are a myth and the pound is not full of sporting dogs . but you hit the nail on the head when you talk about people should never do dumb illegal stuff . you can't fix them just stay away from them is the smart thing .

WTF happened to this thread? Jeez. At the end of the day if you want to cross your apbt (for purposes such as hunting or guarding) then do it, if not then don't do it. Do what you want with your dogs. But if you are going to do it; do your research and talk to experienced people who have had success with their programs. Also don't expect people to agree with your way of doing things everyone has their own opinion, accept it and move on.

I didnt want to make this thread about dogfighting thats why i didnt use these words directly and that made me look stupid and high of mushrooms.

And i didnt came here to judge about hunting, dogfighting and training for other purposes, and i do take your advice serious, and it made me think about it again and your right on some points...
Not everyone should own a dog like not everyone should own a gun IMO

I understand that dogs that are recently matched will be mistaken for bait dogs...but there where some cases where unproffesionals did some dumb shit.

Do you feel no one should ever own a presa, ambulldog, bandog, or some other pitbull type as family dog and guardian?

A good guard and protection breed is the beauceron its like a cross between rottweiler and dober and shepherd but its a breed on its own.
They can be big, agile and there fast!!!
    Very social dogs!!!

    Youtube got some awesome videos.

really you don't need a dog that'll actually do anything, Now before everyone throws their hands up in the air and starts jumping on me just think about it. 90% of the time a burgular will pass by the house that has signs of a dog even if they don't actually see a dog. Now then if you have a dog that looks tough and imposing in size chances are they won't try him. Nobody wants to take a chance with a big 100 pound "monster" laying around even if all he will do is lick them to death when they get past the fence.

Guard dogs today are more hassle than they are worth, The dog bites someone even if on your own property it isn't a if the person is going to sue it's a when. And as we have seen time and time again the system favors a criminal. Shoot someone on your property you get bankrupted and drug through the mud at best and at worst you get that and then thrown in prison where you get your shit pushed in and made toss bubba's salad. It's okay to say my property and I'll shoot you or my dog will eat you but in reality it is a much different story, Yes it's your property and yes you have a right to defend it but all you have to do is read the thousands of cases where a person acted on their rights and in turn was met with nothing but one massive problem from the very person they were defending themselves from only this time they had the legal system hassling you instead of just them or them and their buddies.

Very well said. I would push the percentage to around 99%. A barking dog is just about all the home security anyone will ever need.

And true, here in America it is just about impossible to protect your property without being punished in the end. An ax wielding serial killer could charge thru your dog and if your dog bites him your homeowners is responsible. He may go to prison but your rates will go up regardless, and if you keep the hero dog, they drop you altogether.

I have a Fila Brasileiro. A maniacal man eater, at least that is what he sounds like when you approach our house. He is about 160 but sounds like 400 when he lets loose. They may get my neighbors house but they will pass on mine.

But, like the old folks say, "It is better to be judged by 12 than to be carried by 6". S
