bull greyhounds.i really like these dogs.i had bred my boy to a bull greyhound nearly a couple years back now 4 out the 7 turned out real good.i prefer a first cross bull greyhound because they still have that pitbull influence in them, anything after that they start to loose that shape and look but to me more importantly the punch to bring the deer down, usually we would send a dog out to catch and for this we had an excellent female was the fasted thing on 4 legs, she was a funny dog to she always wanted to show off how fast se was, anyway send her out then if she couldnt finish then the boy would come in and do the job he was a powerhouse in the exact word.there was an excellent dog a few years back called punch i know the man that owned him but more of a friend of his friend.this dog was the first bull greyhound in the uk anyone that knows about this dog can tell you themselfs.straight pitt x greyhound and the best represent of this cross in the uk

Have a buddy with some of finest coyote dogs in S.W. He uses gray hound/ Stag hound inject 1/8 th bulldog. There's your formula for dogs built for speed endurance, with high vigor. Seen them take Mt Lion too. His number 1 dog took 72 coyotes last yr. They are BIG dogs 90 lbs plus Males

of course trick is everything must be working stock . Not as many hunting gray hounds or stag hounds around like bulldogs. Then takes years to refine if your lucky. Just ike Bulldogs.

Im saying that a 1/2 cross is not always the best, i think i know of the guy you are talking about and if it is then he is probably on his 5th gen of 1/2 crosses. I have a 3/4 reverse ,3/4 bull 1/4 greyhound. not enough speed! very powerful!
3/4 straight, 3/4 greyhound 1/4 bull. no stamina! pure speed!
    I also have a 1/2 grey 1/4 bull 1/4 Dogo. she is only 2 but takes
down everything and sticks to it like glue:):)

I've been out with a few good bullxgrey and even bred a litter about 9 years ago but they do lack a bit of wind but you can sort this out by putting saluki in the mix.the best lurcher I've ever seen work was my mate's bedxgrey this dog ad it all we worked this dog on everthing day and night and was still useing him to draw when he was 10 years old the only thing I could fault was he needed more weight.I've heard about that punch dog have any of you heard about pie out of scott CH Max he was a very good dog and the lads up north are still working this stuff bull/grey x bull/grey and so on.

never had a bull blooded lurcher, for edible game you can't beat a good lurcher x lurcher (however they are bred as long as they work well) imo.

mine very rarely get injured or sick have great feet a good coat and could pre-ban catch rabbit, hare and deer day or night.

i wouldnt have any f1 cross (lurcher) because you are essentially expecting the pups to do what neither parent could.
