green tripe

Where do u guys order youe green tripe online?

That link doesn't work. Is it really necessary to feed the green tripe? I have fed the beef heart and kidneys and liver but haven't gone past that. Walmart sells those items. Still haven't found any meaty bones other than short ribs pieces and they are high. $8 for a pack of 4 or so.
Walmart sells tongue too. Those things look huge! I thought there were 2 in the pack at first it was so big.
I haven't bought that because when I was growing up our neighbors cow used to love my horse and would come to the fence and lick me and the horse. I love cows breath.

yea but i would go to the locator section for stores on that site to find one close to you instead of buying it from the site its pricey with shipping added.

 

Where Is The Locator Section? The Last Time I Talked To Them The Only Way To Get There Product's Was There Own Retail Store Or Have It Shipped. The Shipping Cost Almost Three Times The Amount Of The Product's.

 

I would say check your local feed stores.

 

u know anybody that raise there own cows, or dairys near by. if u
do hit them up. most people just have it thrown away so they probably wouldnt charge u for the whole stomach. thats what i do.we raise atleast 2cows a yr for my fam so i just take the stomachs and all the organs right there. and then cut the stomach lining in strips tryin to leave as much green matter as possible so it will fit in a grinder. then walla greentripe with organs or not. then a couple months before i think im gonna run out i go to the dairys in town and ask if they will give me the stomachs of there downed cows. but if u do this make sure they havent given the cows any meds or anything resently and ask what it was downed from. just in case its from something contagious. or there is always hitting up a local butcher shop. usually they have to pay someone to get rid of there scraps so your pracitally doin them a favor. and some might even be willing to grind it up for ya. or when u get it cut it up in small peaces and separate it by serving size then u dont have to grind it.

this way is much much cheaper than having to pay for shipping.

I used to feed my dogs a lot of green tripe. Stank big time. Still seemed to do the dogs a world of good. It's what the wild dogs go for in the wild. They ignore the bones after a kill and go straight for the stomach and insides. The hyenas are different of course as they are bone breakers so go for the bones!:eek:
