shakaz i knew she was ugly as sin, but when i was told it helped me up my standards, if it wasnt for the truth, i wouldve settled for pigs my whole life!getting grief about it helped me round up a fews decent years of straight up fillies , but someone had to tell me the truth.

and i dont right em off, i laugh my head off, there are so many threads on here from dudes with new litters on the ground and at ten weeks they are all "game as hell"
its pretty funny.

 

LMAO, exactly, most of our firsts are ugly as sin thing is first comes the beer for gettin it in the first place, then while drinking the beer comes the teasing and advice. If all the litters that we hear about turned out as G as they posted all would be DG. That's why I say let them think it until they are old enough for school. Then the wheat is separated from the chaff. Then another separation happens on the final exam.

i didnt call anyone a moroon. i said only a MORON would think they have a litter of stars at 4 weeks. what i will add is this...maybe a complete greenhorn would also act like that and that seems to be the category you fall into. i apologize if your offended. as for being stupid, hit me up if you have any MORE questions.... i might have seen a litter or two, and my dumb ass managed to retain a little knowledge outta the deal. im not angry about my Johnson either. after 17 years with the same woman, im pretty sure shes ok with whatever im packin

All puppies do this to a certain extent. As long as they are not causing damage to each other, it's all good. It's more "noise" and "show" than intent. A lot of snarling and posturing with no real intent to hurt each other. They're practicing to be adults, testing each other and learning from it.

Aside from that- Be Aware

This can change over something very simple. It does not always happen, but watch carefully for any escalation in the aggression. That is when you have to be pro-active and separate those pups.

I have been called by a friend, who was at work, to please go to his house and check his pups. They had gotten into it over food. They were about 12 weeks old and had torn holes into each other, with those sharp little pup teeth, that required medical attention and antibiotics.

This is a dog trait, not a breed specific one.

If you are educated about canine behavior, or intuitive, you will "see" when it's time to separate, believe you me.

in fact, the only thing YOU managed to show us was that you were incompetent to properly breed dogs because you have to come on hear to ask such basic questions.

and yes, everyone got to start somewhere and usually that is with a MENTOR that has LOTS of experience with breeding dogs.

Only thing I got out of this whole thread is the man was doing the same thing new mamas do when they first have a kid (aaww he's so cute ain't he?) knowing the kid is hella ugly, bald headed with no teeth. He's just being proud he'll settle down, that's why I say let the man have his fun. LOL, soon enough its gonna be ALL work and he's going to need SOMETHING to laugh about so he can look back on this and laugh.
